Skylar's POV
"Ugh, I'm getting wrinkles." I say, staring into the bathroom mirror. "Your still as beautiful as the day we met." Reg says, wrapping an arm around me. He waves his wand, and music starts playing. "Can you dance like when we were younger?" He asks. I smirk and take his hand. "Of course." We begin twirling around and around until we both collapse on the couch. "I wonder how Anna's doing?" I ask, remembering the letter she sent me. The ink was smeared in some places where her tears had hit it. "I'm sure she's fine Sky. She's your daughter after all." He says. "She's also your daughter. She acts just like you." I laugh. Then there's a knock on the door. "I'll get it." Regulus says. He opens the door. "Oh no." He says. A big black dog comes bounding into the living room. "Sirius?" I ask. He transforms into a scraggly, starving man. "Reg...." he says. Then they both have their arms around each other and they're crying and apologizing. I go into the kitchen to make tea.
When we're all settled with tea, and food for Sirius, Regulus begins to talk. "I'm glad you're here Sirius, but why are you?" He asks. "I needed to see you. And apologize." Sirius says, looking down. "I needed to apologize to both of you." We all know what he's apologizing for. Memories flash back to my sixth year of Hogwarts. "We forgive you." I say, and Reg nods in agreement. "You're my brother Sirius, and I love you." Reg says. "Harry told us all about Peter and the Shrieking Shack. I say. He looks up. "Yeah. He got away again" Sirius replies. "Anyway about this competition Harry's in." Sirius says. I give an involuntary shudder. Regulus lays a hand on my back, rubbing circles on it. "Did he tell you his scar has been hurting?" I ask. Sirius nods. "That's not a good sign." Reg says. "I'm worried about him." I say. Reg nods. "We'll be there for the last task though. "Nothing will happen." I nod. "Nothing will happen.
I go to make dinner, and leave the two men alone to talk, which I know they haven't done in years. Regulus would talk about that a lot. How he was upset about Sirius and about how he missed his brother. Finally he can do what he's always wanted; have a brotherly bond.
While I'm cooking dinner, Regulus gives Sirius some clothes and a razor and he goes to shower. "What's for dinner?" Regulus asks, coming into the kitchen. "Lasagna." I reply, humming. "My favorite food." Regulus says. "I know it is, you don't have to tell me." I laugh. "I love you." He says. "I love you too." I reply, sliding the lasagna into the oven.
That night after dinner, Sirius uses the guest bedroom, and Kreacher goes around muttering and glaring at Sirius. "Shut up Kreacher!" Regulus says finally. Kreacher continues to tidy up silently. "Thank you for letting me stay here." Sirius says. "You can stay for as long as you need. I'm sure Harry will be thrilled." Regulus says. I nod in agreement, then yawn. "I'm going to bed." I say. Regulus pecks me on the lips. "Goodnight, Love." He says. "Goodnight Reg. Goodnight Sirius." I say. "Goodnight." Sirius replies. Today has been such a long day, but it's worth it if it makes Reg happy. I'm so glad he and Sirius made up. Two brothers, brotherly at last.
I can't sleep, and after a while, Reg comes in and slips into bed. I roll over and bury my face in this chest, and he wraps an arm around me. "I love you." He says. "I love you too." I reply. "I missed our babies over Christmas." I say. "I know you do. I do too. They're growing up." He says. "We need to have another." I joke. "No." Regulus says. "I'm too old." I laugh. "You're only thirty-six!" He laughs. "And you're thirty-five." I shudder. "Almost forty." Regulus smiles. "Yeah but you'll always be beautiful." He says. "Goodnight." I say. "Goodnight." He replies.
So yes, it's short, but look! Sky and Reggie scenes! With Sirius!
