Easter break is an exciting time. I get to go home to Mum and Dad. When Harry and I floo into the fireplace however, Sirius and Remus sit at the table. "Remus!" I cry, running over and hugging him. "Hi Bell!" He says. "It's been forever." I tell him. He nods. "I've been a bit preoccupied with my new work though." He says. "Where's Mum and Dad?" I ask. "They're on a date night. We told them we could handle everything." Sirius says. I look at Remus. "No." He says. "Please?" I ask, giving puppy dog eyes. "Not again." He says.
Harry is trying not to laugh, and Sirius looks confused. "Please Rem? Please?" I ask. He sighs. "Fine." He finally gives in. "But if you set the house on fire again I'm not taking the blame." I smile. "Yes!" I scream, running to get a book out of dad's study. I run out with it, and Sirius stops me. "That was my mum's." He said. "It makes great cookies." I shrug. Remus laughs. "How would you know? They were all ashes!" He exclaims. I laugh and grab everything the book says to. "I'm scared." Says Remus jokingly. I throw a pinch of flour at him in reply. He throws a handful on my shirt. I throw sugar in his hair, and he cracks two eggs on top of my head, so I throw one at him. I look around to see the mixing bowl missing. I look up just in time to see it tip over on top of me. I scream and tackle Remus, giving him a big hug. When we get up, Sirius and Harry are purple in the face from laughing. With a wave of Remus's wand, all the ingredients are back in the bowl and Remus and I are using cookie cutters to make a ton of different animal shapes. I notice however, one animal missing from the pile. A wolf.
"Do the enchantment!" I exclaim as the cookies come out of the oven half an hour later. Remus waves his wand and mutters the incantation. Nothing happens. Remus picks up a cookie and holds it to his face. A blast of icing shoots him in the face from the animal's mouth. "It worked this time!" I exclaim, making Remus laugh.
Then there's a knock on the door. Sirius runs upstairs to hide, and Harry and I race for the door. We both end up sprawled in front of the door. Remus opens it with magic. Uncle Sev steps over me and Harry, a small smile playing on his lips. "Where are Sky and Regulus? It's very urgent." Uncle Sev says. Remus shrugs. "Paris I think. They're on a date night and won't be back until tomorrow." He says. "They didn't respond to my owl last week." Sev says. "What is it Severus? I'll deliver the message tomorrow." Remus says. Sev shakes his head. "It's complicated. I've been at Lucius's." He replies, eyeing me and Harry. "I really must go. I'll be back tomorrow." He says. "Wait! Uncle Sev! Do you want a cookie?" I ask. He nods. "Okay." I rush to get him one. "Here you go." I say. Before he can bite into it, icing sprays him in the face. Harry and I burst out laughing, and Remus chuckles. Uncle Sev sputters and then laughs with us. "The icing is good." He says. "I'll see you tomorrow." He says. "Goodnight." Harry and I say at the same time.
The next day, Harry and I decide to walk to the Weasleys while Sev visits. Harry wants to see Ron, and Jenna is staying with Ginny.
When we arrive, George answers the door. I don't say a word, but walk up to Ginny's room instead, where she's sitting on a bed, and Jenna's on the other. "Hi." I say. "Hey Bella. We're playing truth or dare. Want to join?" Ginny asks. I nod. "Sure. It sounds fun." I reply. "So Bella, truth or dare?" Jenna asks. "Truth." I reply. She thinks for a moment. "Why did you break up with Blaise?" She asks. I sigh. "He was really abusive. George made me see he was." I sigh. "That's awful Bella. No matter what he did, I'm glad George got you out of it." Ginny says. "Me too." I reply. "Jenna, truth or dare?" I ask. "Dare." She replies. Ginny and I share a look. "I dare you to go talk to Fred about what happened." I say, smirking. She sighs and gets up to head to the twins' room.
Fred's POV
George has been talking about Bella for an hour. "I love her Fred." He says. He sounds like a kicked puppy. He's been like this since the ball. "Honestly George, it's your fault. I still haven't forgiven you for forcing me into it." I tell him. He sighs and buries his head in his hands. "I was so stupid. She's so much more important than the Wheezes." He says. "It's so hard knowing she's so close and I can't kiss her and hold her. I'm sorry Fred." He says. Before I can respond, there's a knock at our door. I open it to see Jenna. "Can we talk?" She asks. I pull her outside. "So listen, I don't think you should try and control Bella's love life, but you were right. Blaise was abusing her." She says. Blaise was hurting Bella? She's my best friend besides George! "Apology accepted." I tell her. "I didn't apologize!" She exclaims. "Well you should!" I say back. "Why? Because you tried to control Bella's love life? What if she listened to you and he hadn't abused her?" She screams. "He did though! He hurt and abused her! I was right and you can't admit it! What do you know about abusive relationships anyway?" I scream back. She pulls down the neckline of her shirt a little to reveal the word fugly written in clear letters. "My ex-boyfriend did that to me. He charmed it so that it would only go away when I was with someone that made me truly happy." She says quietly. I walk over to her quickly, and kiss her hard. She wraps her arms around my neck, and I wrap an arm around her waist. With my other hand, I trace the letters of her scar, which disappear as I touch them. "Be my girlfriend again?" I ask. She smiles. "Yes."
I go back to my room with a smile on my face. "What happened?" George asks. "We made up." I smile. He smiles too. "Good." He says quietly. "I'm sorry. I really am." He whispers. I sigh. "George. The reason she's a perfect Pureblood at school is because she thinks the reason you did that is because she didn't fit in. She fits in with them. She's practically her queen." He says. He stands up quickly. "I need to go talk to her." He says.
Bella's POV
Ginny and I squeal. Finally! Jenna comes back and we ask her all about it. She grins and shows us the place where her scar used to be.
There's a knock at the door. Ginny opens it. "What George?" She asks. "I need to talk to Bella." I hear him say. Ginny looks at me, asking if it's okay with her eyes. I shrug and stand up. I go out into the hallway, and Fred pulls me outside and away from the house where nobody can see us. "I heard part of what you said in the hospital wing the other day." I tell him. He grimaces. "You weren't meant to." He says. "I know." I reply. "I can't stay away from you Bella." He says. "Fred told me all about the Pureblood thing you have going on." George says. I smile, thinking of my friends. "Yeah, what about it?" I ask. "Stop. Please." He says. "There's nothing to stop. I'm having fun, and finally discovering who I am. My dad did all this." I say, thinking about the pictures I saw. "Yeah but he turned out good." George says. "So will I! You think because I finally have friends that care about me I'll turn out evil?" I explode. "Bells, no. That's not what I'm saying." He says. "Then what were you saying?" I ask angrily. "I don't know." He admits. "I just want you to be mine again." George says. I laugh harshly. "Again? Was I ever really yours if you were planning to break my heart?" I scoff. "Bella, please." He says. "Didn't you feel anything when I kissed you in the closet?" He asks. I think back on it. I felt a lot of things. Anger, happiness, bliss, hate. "Yes I did. But it doesn't matter." I say. "It does matter!" He says back. "Leave me alone!" I shout. "No!" He exclaims. He storms over to me, and for a second, I'm afraid he'll hit me like Blaise did. "I'll spend the rest of my life trying to make it up to you if you'll let me." He whispers, his breath tickling my face. "George." I say, and then he's kissing me. His lips move on mine and I've never felt so happy and confused. I can feel everything he's pouring into this kiss between us. We pull away, gasping for breath. "I love you." He says. "I've fallen in love with you." I reply. And then a quote enters my mind. "Love, but don't fall in love. Everything that falls gets broken." I really hope I don't get broken again.
