Alex's POV

The door chimed to alert me of a new customer, I got up from the sofa in the back room and made my way to the counter as the other employees were on their lunch break.

"Can I help?" I smiled to the group of boys that just walked in. A boy, he must have been around my age, walked forward. He had a blue streak in his fringe and a couple of lip rings.

"Yeah, I was wanting to get a tattoo today but if no-one is here I can come back" I laughed and looked at him.

"You think I'm just a receptionist?" His eyes widened. "Go and choose what you want unless you already have one drawn up" I motioned to the board that was at the back wall but instead he whipped out a piece of paper with a drawing of hands and the pinkies wrapped around each other. "Can you do this?" I looked down at the paper he had given me and I nodded. "Grab a seat, I'll be over to start it in a sec" I took the paper from his hand before gesturing through the back where the supplies were. "You boys joining him?" The one that looked like the boy nodded and walked through to stand next to him. I walked out from behind the desk. I was wearing black skinny jeans and a plain, white cropped t-shirt that showed a little stomach to show off the tattoo on my hip going up my side. It was my favourite one so I was obviously going to show it off a little. I pulled my dyed red hair in to a pony tail out of my face and clipped my fringe back so I could see what I was going to be doing. "I like your tattoo by the way" I quickly turned to see the boy looking over at me intently from the chair he had chosen. "Thanks, it was my first" I grabbed the clipboard to fill out his details and sat in the stool next to him.

"I just need to fill out your details so name?" He smirked and replied "Tell me yours first" You looked up biting your bottom lip. "Alex, yours?" He smiled and I looked back down hovering the pen over the paper. "Luke" I quickly wrote it down and continued asking him the routine questions and with every single one of them he would ask for my answer to them aswell. If this was his idea of flirting it wasn't too bad "So, where do you want this tattoo?" He pointed to a spot on his arm and I picked up the needle and got to work.

Luke's POV

When I walked in to the tattoo parlour I hadn't expected her to walk out, I expected a big, hairy man to step out but when I seen her my heart started thumping against my chest and I lost all ability to speak. When she walked out from behind that desk I couldn't stop watching her, as she put her hair up, her top lifted a little showing her tattoo which was pretty cool. "I like your tattoo by the way" Shit. What did I say that for? Now she knows I was looking at her. As she was asking me questions, I got her to answer them too and I found out a little about her, too bad there wasn't a phone number question on there. The needle started to prick my arm and it didn't hurt that bad, I watched her face as she concentrated on getting it right, she was so beautiful I couldn't take my eyes off her. She didn't have a lot of make-up on, if any, unlike half the girls in LA. She seemed cool and I just wanted a way to hang out with her, outside of here. Jai must have seen me watching her as he nudged my shoulder and mouthed "Go for it" I smiled and looked back down, watching her features intently.

Alex's POV

"Done" I smiled, pretty pleased with myself, the door chimed again but Hank walked in instead of a customer to my relief. "Hey, Alex. I brought you back a donut" I rolled my eyes and shook my head "Is that all? No Mcdonalds" I heard his raspy laugh come from inside the back room and look backed at Luke "You like it?" He smiled widely and nodded. "Well, I have to bandage it up so it doesn't get infected" I took off my latex gloves and wheeled over to the drawer to get some bandages and tape then wheeled myself back. I started wrapping the bandage around his arm, my finger touched his arm briefly and in that moment, I felt something I never have before, a spark shot up my arm and warmed my whole body. I dismissed it and thought it was probably just a static shock and taped the bandage down. I looked up at the boy in front of me. I looked in to his eyes, not on purpose, and I couldn't bring myself to pull away and apparently neither could he. I cleared my throat and quickly looked down at the bandage. "That should stay on for at least 5 hours" I got up quickly going back behind the desk, Luke and his brother following behind. "That will be 30 dollars, thanks" He handed the moeny over and I put it in the till and waved them goodbye as he walked out the shop. I took out my phone and began to text my mum before the door chimed again. I looked up to see Luke standing in front of me.

"How about that Mcdonalds?" He handed me a bit a bit of paper and ran back out the shop, joining the group he was previously with. I looked down to see a number on it, I cancelled the text to my mum and tapped in that number and text this mysterious boy.

*Sure, I get off at 5. Come back then*

I got a text back almost immediately

*See you then*

I smiled to myself, thinking how my life has changed since moving to LA. I was saying yes more often than before, my whole outlook had changed and hopefully, Luke, was going to stay in my life for a while.
