Chapter 3

*3 Weeks Later*

Alex's POV

I got up at 9am as I had to go into work for a couple of hours while Hank took his daughter out somewhere. The drive to work was nice, the roads weren't that busy, considering it was a Saturday so I got there pretty qucik. I walked in, the door chiming to signal my arrival, sometime I wish we didn't have that bell. I walked in to the back room and put my bag on one of the chairs and walked back out, I took the time of having no customers to clean up a bit, I'm guessing Hank had a customer earlier this morning before I got here because there were needles already being sterelised. I took out the brush and began sweeping up anything and everything that was on the floor. I put the radio on and started dancing to the music, the door chimed, unforunately and I turned to see who it was. Instead of a customer, a certain curly haired boy walked in laughing, I walked over to the radio and turned it down "What are you laughing at?" I was so confused right now. "You, dancing" I felt my cheeks grow hotter as I quickly put my head down, pretending to sort through some papers that were on the counter next to me. "How did you know I was here?" I looked back at him, my cheeks calming down now. "Lucky guess?" I rolled my eyes and sat on the chair behind the desk. "Well, it was pretty lucky" He laughed and took a seat on the sofa that was sitting in the waiting area. "Why did you want to see me anyway?" I leaned my arms on the desk, crossing them in front of me. "Why wouldn't I" He winked cheekily and started looking through the drawings people can choose from. "Have you done any?" I shook my head before realising that he couldn't see me. Idiot. "No, not yet anyway" He turned and came to stand in front of me "Do you want to go out to dinner tonight? With me, of course" That couldn't be a bad idea, right? "Sure, where?" "The boys are going out tonight so come to mine about 7 and I'll cook" What do I have to lose? "When you say cook, do you really mean 'I'll order a chinese and put it on a plate'?" He chuckled "Yupp" "Wait, thats not out for dinner?" He smirked "It is for you" I rolled my eyes as I leaned back in the chair until the phone started ringing, I picked it up, hoping it wasn't anything complicated "Oh hi Hank. Yeah, really?! Well I'll not argue with that" I hung up and jumped up from my seat to get my bag "What was that about?" I heard Luke calling through to me. I forgot he was here. "Hank said to close up shop and go home so that's exactly what I'm doing" I heard a muffled laugh and grabbed the keys walking out. "I'll see you tonight, ok?" Luke nodded and walked away in the opposite direction as I got to my car, I made a beeline for home. I got home and I couldn't help but miss him. I love being around him and with him and now I'm not I'm so bored and lonely.

Luke's POV

"You have to come Luke! It will be fucking amazing!" Beau was pumped for this party tonight only because he knew there was going to be alcohol. "No, I can't. I have plans" He furrowed his brows "No you don't?" I nodded and walked over to the couch when Jai appeared from outside "Bet it's with the girl from the tattoo place" My cheeks began to blush and then I started to smile unwillingly just thinking about her "See, it is!" Jai snapped me out of my thoughts and I looked up at him "So what if I do?" He just winked and wandered away up stairs.

A few hours later

The boys had left for the party, seen as it was the other side of LA. I ordered the chinese an hour before seen as it taked them long enought to get here. I went upstairs to get ready, I had to do it tonight.

Alex's POV

It was still Summer in LA so I opted for black leggings, and a jumper that was a little too big. I slipped on my red converse as I grabbed my phone and headed out the door to my car. How I love my car. I started the engine and headed in the direction of Luke's house. There were no cars in his driveway so I decided to park in it. I got out and headed towards the door, I put my hand up to knock but the door flew open before I got the chance "I heard your car" I raised an eyebrow and looked at him "You weren't just watching for me" He made a 'pfft' noise before moving to the side to let me in. "You can take off your shoes and leave them there if you like" He pointed to a pile at the door so I slipped them off and left them there. I followed Luke through the living room and into the kitchen area where he had set out the chinese he clearly ordered on the island in the middle of their kitchen "How did you know I liked chow mein?" I looked into the box Luke had given me. He shrugged again Lucky guess again?" I laughed as I sat down "Hey, I have that jumper" I looked down and back up to him. "Really? It's a guys jumper but I loved it so much" I smiled putting the fork full of noodles in my mouth.

We finished eating and talked for ages about everything and anything "Alex?" His one suddenly changed and I wasn't sure if I should be worried or not "Yeah?" He took a huge breath and began talking "Well, you see, I like you. A lot. And when I left you at the shop earlier, as soon as I got home I couldn't help missing you and well basically what I'm trying to say is" He took another deep breath as my heart hammered against my chest "Will you be my girlfriend, Alex?" He watched my face intently awaiting an answer. A smile came to my face as I nodded "I'd love that" He stood up and came to stand in front of me "So I can do this again" And before I could do anything his lips pressed to mine kissing me with love and passion. Our lips moved in perfect sync together, butterflies forming in my stomach, he licked my bottom lip asking for entrance and I parted my lips allowing it. The butterflies got stronger and my heart started thumping against my chest once again. When he pulled away, I bit bottom lip and moved my fringe out of my eyes "How about a movie?" I nodded and we walked into the living room. I took a seat on the sofa as he took out a few DVD's "What one?" He held up a few DVD's and I seen one of my favourite films "Mean Girls" His eyes widened "You never fail to surprise me" I just laughed as he put the disc in the player. He came up and sat in the corner of the sofa, he put his arm up so I could rest my head on his chest and he put his arm back down, holding me. Like he wanted to keep me safe. I don't know if it was the steady beat of his heart or the motion of his chest rising and falling but I started to drift off to sleep.

Luke's POV

"I love this bit" It was the bit when he was going round with the candy canes. No answer. I looked down to see her eyes were shut and her breathing was steady, she fell asleep on me. I slowly got up and rested her head on a cushion, she stirred but she just turned round. I couldn't help but watch this beautiful girl sleep on our couch, just then the door opened. They were home. "That was fucking amazing boys!" I quickly ran out to the hall and whispered desperately "Shut up. Alex fell asleep" They quickly went quiet and creeped forward to peer round the door. "Go move her to your room or something" Jai spoke up. Good idea Jai. I went in to the living room and picked up the sleeping beauty, she moaned a little but put her hands rouns my neck and buried her face in my chest. I got to my bedroom and pushed the door open with my foot, I put her down in the bed and changed into pyjama bottoms, leaving my shirt off and crawled in next to her. I wasn't just going to leave her incase she freaked out when she woke up. "Goodnight beautiful" I kissed her forehead and closed my eyes, instantly falling asleep.
