Chapter 19

*Alex's POV*

I tried to sit up from my bed wincing at a pain in my lower back, I seen my elbows were bruised along with my knees. I never really got hangovers lucky for me but as I began walking towards the living room I felt like an old woman hobbling hunched over instead of walking normally, I went into the living room to see Luke sprawled out on my sofa, I was confused at first until pieces of last night floated in my mind, the main standing out is the fact he came back here to take care of me and we ended up kissing, althought it was mainly me. I quietly went into the kitchen and grabbed a smoothie out the fridge, I need to go shopping my fridge is practically empty, I went back into the living room sitting at the bottom of the sofa where Luke wasn't lying. I sat quietly sipping my smoothie as I watched Luke sleep. His snapback was on the table and his hair in curls which fell over his face, he didn't have his top on and I guess I wasn't comlaining. A pair of brown eyes flickered open and cut into mine, we stayed like that for a few seconds before he began smiling "What?" I suddenly became self concious and let my hair fall to cover my face but he sat up and tucked it behind my ear "You still look beautiful even when you've just woken up" He kissed my cheek and got up going into the bedroom and coming back out with his shirt on "I have to go, we're filming today before we go back to Melbourne next week" What? "You're going back to Melbourne?" I turned in my seat to face him "Yeah, for Christmas and New Year, aren't you going back home?" I looked down into my lap as the words came out, I never wanted to go back to that place, the only person left was my brother but he lived in his own little law world, I haven't even celebrated Christmas since I was really little, I just shook my head "Well, I guess I'll see you later" With that he left. I wasn't even sure where we were at the moment. Were we friends again? I had no idea where the hell this was going but I knew that it wouldn't be sorted before he left to go back home again. Shit. I still had to fix things with Beau, I buried my face in a cushion before letting out a groan, realising I had work in two hours.

*Beau's POV*

I went with Daniel so he could get his tattoo and we pulled up outside Hank's. Great. "Why here?" Daniel just shrugged getting out the car "I like it here" We walked in and a now brown haired Alex looked up from the desk "Hi, what can I do you for?" She asked us as we walked in smiling, she was so pretty I can't believe Luke got to her first "I just want a new tattoo" Daniel replied taking me out of my trance, Daniel and I went through to the chairs as she got her stuff and started asking Daniel questions, she would flicker her eyes up to me now and again. Daniel grabbed my hand as Alex began inking his forearm "OW! I think I hurt more than you do!" I shouted at him as he squeezed my hand almost cutting off my circulation. 

Finally the tattoo was finished and I had my hand back, as we were leaving the shop someone grabbed my arm sending shivers down my back, I looked down at the hand then at the person who's hand it was "Can I please talk to you?" It was Alex of course, I nodded for Daniel to go ahead and turned to Alex "I'm sorry, for everything, for making you keep secrets from your own brother and then just not talking to you after...you know and I was-" I cut her off before she rambled on even more "Stop. It wasn't your fault, I was just being a jerk, I shouldn't have kissed you in the first place and you had good reason to keep it from Luke just don't break him again" She nodded slightly and I turned to walk away "Are we ok? Are you still mad?" Her voice was quiet almost scared for me to answer, I turned back around and pulled her into a hug "I was never mad, just a dick, we're good" I smiled as I pulled away from the hug walking back out the door. I took a sigh of relief glad that was over and climbed in the car where Daniel was waiting "You good?" He asked once I sat down, I just smiled and nodded "I am actually" I realised that her and Luke were made for each other, I never had a chance at whatever Luke has with Alex but I knew that I was happy being her friend and I hoped that Luke was going to take her back.

*Luke's POV*

I had been editing since I got back and I was finally finished, I showed the boys when Beau and Daniel returned and then began uploading to YouTube and god knows how long that would take. I sat on the edge of my bed and picked up my guitar and started playing 'Little Things' remembering the first time Alex came here, I had heard the noise and then the singing, I was amazed and followed the noise to find her in here, I started smiling to myself when Beau came in "We should talk" Now what? "About what?" I asked a little wearily "We have to talk about Alex" Was he the third person in our...whatever it is because it seems like it "Why?" He sat down and started playing with his fingers which he did when he was nervous "I think you should know, it wasn't Alex's fault so don't go off on her" Ok, now I was worried "What?" I asked a little more impatient "I may have kind of kissed her" My eyes widened "What the fuck Beau! When the fuck did this happen?!" I was standing pacing back and forth "It was ages ago, when she said she had the flu or whatever" I cast my mind back "We were still dating! Why would you do that?!" He stood up and faced me "I don't know! I wasn't thinking!" I ran my hands through my hair "Too fucking right Beau!" He walked towards me "Don't take it out on her please, it was all me, she pushed me away instantly, she only wants you! She told me herself" Did she? Really? "She did?" He nodded "Well maybe not exactly but I could just see it in her eyes, Luke. You need her back, you know it, I know it, hell this whole house fucking knows it" He laughed and I joined him calming down a bit. I trusted Beau he was my brother for fuck sake, I couldn't hold this against him forever, it was just a kiss, it didn't mean anything to him it was just a moment of weakness. Right?
