Chapter 22

*Luke's POV*

We've only been back in Australia for a day and I can't help but miss Alex, surely that means something right? Jai, Beau and I were at my nonna and nonno's house to visit the family. 

We stayed there all day catching up with everyone, we were a really close family so it was just as weird for them not having us around all the time like before as it was for us, but we were doing something we loved so it was all worth it and I had Alex, my beautiful girlfriend back in LA. I climbed in to bed and stared at the photo of me and Alex from the premier when she had her purple hair. I unlocked my phone and started to facetime her and she popped up on the screen after two rings 

"Hey" She said a little groggily, she was in her bed and the covers were right up covering the bottom of her and I furrowed my eyebrows "What's wrong?" I asked her softly "I just feel a little ill, I think I'm just tired" She yawned proving she was right "I have a question" She muttered and sat up against her headboard showing her whole face framed by her brown hair "What might that be?" I asked her starting to smile and she looked down still holding her phone up "Well...I...My brother has been calling me" Her brother? "What?" She nodded and looked back at me biting her lip nervously "Yeah, he wanted me to go home for christmas and new year" I opened my mouth to speak but she put her finger up "But I don't do Christmas or New Year...not now" What happened? I should ask her but not over the phone "So what did you need to ask me then?" I figured I would leave that right now and ask her when I get back, she pushed her hair behind her ear and smiled "He's getting married and invited me to the wedding" She laughed like she didn't believe it "Wow. Really?" She nodded still smiling "Do you want to come with me?" I smiled again "When is it?" "It's on February the 5th, you'll be back back by then right?" I nodded and she smiled again "Good because I can't go back on own" Her eyes glossed over and my heart ached "Don't cry, of course I would come with you, I would never let you go back on your own" A tear spilled from her eye and she quickly wiped it away "I love you, I'm sorry" My brows furrowed again "For what?" She sniffed "For putting you through my life" She sniffled again and I wanted to hold her in my arms and tell her everything is ok "Don't say you're sorry, you have nothing to be sorry for, I would go through anything for you, I love you" I told her and she smiled wide the way that makes the butterflies appear in my stomach "I'm going to go to bed now, I'll speak to you tomorrow" She nodded "OK, bye" She faded away and I put my phone on the drawers beside my bed and fell asleep as sson as my head hit the pillow.
