Chapter 20

April's POV
I looked around my closet helplessly, trying to find something to wear. But there is nothing. I let out a loud huff, before I reached over for my phone to text Grayson.

Me:When r u coming?
Gray:About an hour.
Me:Where r we going?
Gray:It's a surprise! :p
Me:What the hell should I wear tho? -_-
Gray:Something comfy but cute and dressy at the same time.
Me:Wow thanks for making my life 100 times easier :/

I sighed and put the phone down. I'm not the type of person to go on dates. How does he expect me to pick out an outfit for a place that I don't even know. I have only an hour to dress up, do my makeup and do my hair.

I scanned the clothes displayed in front of me once more before something caught my eye. I jumped up off of my place on the floor and ran towards it.

I found a pink romper that I bought and long forget about. I decided to wear it since it was comfy and dressy at the same time. I paired it with a long floral cardigan and a brown leather belt. I put on some pink heels with hints of yellow for a pop of colour.

After finally getting dressed I had about thirty five minutes to do my hair and makeup. I quickly curled my hair and thanked God that it had enough time to dry since I got out of the shower. After I was done with that, I started on my makeup. I simply put on some eyeliner and mascara and added a light pink lipstick.

As I was struggling to get my necklace on, my mother called me. "April! Grayson's here!" She shouted from downstairs. "Coming!" I shouted back and quickly grabbed my purse and headed downstairs.

I saw my mom and Grayson standing in the doorway, making small talk as I arrived. As soon as I took the last step down the stairs, Grayson's gaze shot up and scanned me up and down.

"Hey Gray!" I greeted as I stood next to my mom. "Hi April." He smiled at me with a nod. This time it was my turn to check him out. He was wearing black skinny jeans with a blue muscle tee that showed off his biceps very nicely.

"So what time do you want her home by?" Grayson questioned my mom. "Let's say about midnight. But take your time and don't rush back." I don't get how my mom is so laid back. She trusts Grayson more than anything, it's really starting to wow me.

"Alright then." And with that we headed out the door with my mom screaming,"Have fun! But not too much fun!" Behind us.

Grayson opened the door for me and we both got into the car. "So where are we going?" I asked excitedly, as Grayson rolled his eyes, but couldn't manage to stop himself from smiling. "I said it's a surprise. Meaning I won't tell you, you'll just have to wait and see."

I huffed and crossed my arms across my chest like a five year old who didn't get the toy she wanted for Christmas. "So your mom told me you're really into music huh?" I turned my attention away from the window to look at Grayson instead.

"Yeah it's a really major thing in my life." I answered. "Do you sing?"
"I actually do. But don't you ever ask me to sing for you because I won't." I gave him a little glare as he started laughing. That loud laugh that escalates as he laughs for longer. Everything about him gets me lost and pulls me in closer.

"Who's your favourite singer?" He asked trying to keep the conversation going so it wouldn't be just a boring car ride. "Justin Bieber obviously. I also really like Selena Gomez and even The Weeknd. But for sure One Direction are above them all." I watched as he smirked at me, and suddenly I was confused.

"Really, One Direction? Those little boys." He scoffed as he shook his head. "Excuse you Grayson! Those little boys are more than four years older than you." I shot back but tried to keep my voice calm.

Everyone knows I'm a major fangirl, so he really shouldn't be touching up that soft spot. But the last thing I want right now is to fight on our first date because of One Direction.

"I thought they were sixteen!" Grayson said as he widened his eyes. "I wish. The youngest one is twenty two." At the first part of my sentence Grayson didn't react, I guess he didn't want the idea of me wanting other guys. But at the second part he laughed.

"Do you even know them Grayson? I mean you seem pretty confident while making fun of them." "Of course I know them!" Grayson said with a sassy tone making me want to give him a challenge.

"Alright then, name them all." I challenged him. This might seem childish to some people, but it's a pretty serious moment right now between us.

If you know Grayson, you would know that he doesn't like to be wrong. I watched as he tightened his hands on the steering wheel, making his veins visible.

"There is...... That one with the long hair. His name is... Um it's I think Neil Horain." It took every muscle in my body to hold back my laugh, but I kept it in.

"Go on." I motioned for him to continue. "There is that one that just had a baby, and his name is Harold Steels." He said confidently, not knowing he's screwing this up bad. But I just nodded and went along with it.

"There is the blonde one and his name is Lebron Plain. And there is also the one who looks like David Beckham who is named Lewis Topkinson."

"And the last one is the one who left the band and his name is Zack Maleek." Well at least Zayn's description was close enough.

"Not even close." I said as I burst out in laughter. "What? Are you sure? I'm pretty sure I have my facts straight." It's cute how Grayson thinks he nailed that.

"Grayson, their names are Harry Styles with the long hair, Louis Tomlinson with the baby, Liam Payne who looks like David Beckham and Niall Horan the blonde one." His jaw dropped in shock as he looked disappointed in himself.

"Well if it makes you feel better, Zayn Malik was pretty close." He didn't listen and just continued to shake his head. "Why does it even bother you so much, Gray?" I asked while still giggling. "Because I actually studied for this."

I was about to question him on why he did that, but I was stopped once we came to a stop. "Where are we?" I asked confused. "The arena that One Direction is performing at tonight."

"Oh my god! How did I not know of this?! I could've gotten tickets!" I said regretting the fact that I haven't been following up with their news lately.

"No need because this is our first stop on our magical first date." I turned my head so fast to face Grayson that I heard my neck crack. "Are you frickin serious?!" I squealed as my jaw dropped all the way to the floor.

"Two tickets to the One Direction concert tonight." He said confidently as he pulled them out of his pocket. "Oh my god Grayson!" I screamed as I reached over to hug him tightly.

Sorry I stopped it there but I've been trying to finish this chapter for like ever but I couldn't. I can't update for the next few days cuz I'll be busy so I had to give u guys something. But on a lighter note I just wanted to let u know that it's summer break so school is over now and I can update a lot over the 2 months! Edited 10/16/16
