Chapter 7

April's POV
Grayson and I walked through the doors of my house at 7:00pm, our clothes a little damp from the rain outside, while holding a bunch of shopping bags from our long day trip to the mall.

"Oh, you're finally here! Now come on dinner is ready!" My mom said in a jolly voice, as me and Grayson dropped our bags to the floor. We both took a seat across from each other as my mom sat at the head of the table where she always sits.

"So how was your shopping trip?" My mom asked as she passed around the bowl of mashed potatoes and kept adding food onto Grayson's plate. "It was great!" I said smiling at Grayson and he nodded agreeing with me.

"So what did you guys buy?" She asked, trying to keep the conversation going. "A lot of stuff actually, maybe April can show you later." Said Grayson, as he reached for the salt. "Is it raining hard outside?" My mom asked turning towards Grayson. "Oh yeah, it's pouring." He said. "Okay then, Grayson how about you spend the night?" Wait hold up what?

I watched as Grayson looked surprised and it seemed like he didn't really have a response. "Umm no actually, I can drive back home it's totally fine." Said Grayson, but my mom just shook her head.

"No no no, Grayson. It's dangerous for you to drive in this weather, plus it's about an hour to your house from here. I'll call your mother. " My mom quickly got up and went to look for her phone.

"Wow. You really have an effect on people." I said as I raised my eyebrows. I mean since when does my mom let boys sleep over ? She never let Crawford stay over before, and he's just a friend. But Grayson is my fiancé, did the idea of us hooking up ever occur to her? Not that I would EVER hook up with Grayson.

After dinner, I grabbed all my bags and took them up to my room. My mom decided that me and Grayson should have some time to talk alone, so she sent him up to my room. Grayson took a seat on my bed and I sat across from him.

"So what do you want to do?" I asked him, as he just shrugged, fiddling with the ends of my comforter. "You want to watch a movie?" I suggested, and Grayson nodded, liking the idea. I got up and turned on my t.v, I went on Netflix and decided to put on Clueless since it's one of my favourite movies ever.

"Seriously Clueless?" He asked as he rolled his eyes. "It's either this, or you go to sleep. Your choice!" I said as I turned off the lights. The next thing I saw was Grayson getting under my comforter and leaning against my headboard. I laughed at how fast he changed his mind about watching this movie.

I took a seat next to Grayson, getting under the covers as well. Before I knew what was going on, all I felt was Grayson's hand sneaking around my waist and pulling me in towards him.

Now if this happened the first time I met Grayson I would have slapped him, but now me and Grayson have a deal so I really don't mind.

I mean we are going to get married, so I might as well get used to being close to him like this. Plus no one would believe we are in love if he doesn't show some sort of affection towards me.

I know that in front of people we will have to hug, hold hands, and even kiss, it just completes the whole show. So a little practice on our private time won't hurt right?

I rested my head on Grayson's shoulder, and breathed in his manly scent. I loved the smell of cologne. I actually don't mind having someone hold me close like this, making me feel a little loved, and warm inside.

Grayson is probably a better guy to have then someone else. It's really nice to have someone to just cuddle with and call yours, even if it's fake.
