April's POV [1 week later]
It's barely been a week since Grayson proposed. My mother and his, have already planned everything for the engagement party.

Personally, I don't mind the fact that they've taken matters into their own hands and started preparing. It just means I have to do less work, but I also don't want to rush things.

I've only known Grayson for a couple of months now and I still feel like I need more time to adjust to the idea of him. I'm also trying my best to postpone the wedding until I turn eighteen, which is in a few months.

Grayson and I have met up constantly this week. Things are still the same between us. We kiss like any other ordinary couple and at any chance he gets he tries to push me into tight spaces to make-out.

I usually go along with it because I know he wouldn't do anything inappropriate, but one way or another he's going to want to go further with me and I can't let that happen.

Grayson is already talking about us hooking up after marriage, but the sad thing is that he doesn't know I'm incapable to let that happen. He still thinks it's about my shyness. He has no idea that there is way more to the story than just that. That is only the surface level information.

Me, Grayson and both of our mothers are currently at the mall shopping. They already planned the party to be in two weeks from now. So now they want me to find a dress, so I can deal with all the other things later.

Don't get me wrong, I love shopping, but with all of them here it's impossible. Whenever I shop with my mom I always find something that would please her, or whenever I shop with Grayson it's usually just fun. But right now there are three of them treating me like I'm a Barbie doll.

They each have an image of me in their heads and they want me to look like it. My mom wants me to look delicate and elegant. Grayson's mom wants me to look like a sweetheart and smart. And Grayson wants me to look and I quote"Sexy and fierce, so all the other guys would be jealous." But no one asked me what I want. All I want is to look like the real April.

"Hey honey, lets go in there." Grayson's mom pointed to a store where my mom usually shops at. All I did was nodded, I can't disrespect her and tell her that's where my mother gets her dresses and I'm only seventeen.

Once we got in, a woman with brown hair and green eyes greeted us. "Hello, how may I assist you today?" She gave me the sweetest smile. Something about her made me instantly like her, even though I didn't say anything to her yet.

"We're looking for an engagement dress. Preferably white, please." My mother spoke kindly, giving her a smile back. "Is it for you?" She asked me and I nodded.

"Oh wow! You don't look a day over twenty. Aren't you too young?" She seemed like one of those people who liked to make conversation. And if it were just Grayson and I, we would've stayed to chat, but since our mothers are here they don't look too pleased with her.

She glanced at my mother when no one spoke up and once she saw the look she was being given, she turned around to go find some dresses. "People these days can't mind their own business." My mother shook her head agreeing to what Grayson's mom said.

I was about to defend the nice lady when I decided not to because again, I didn't want to displease my soon-to be-mother-in-law. I looked up at Grayson and he gave me a look that told me to hold on.

Even though I always want to stand up for people, it seems as if I'm always the one who gets in trouble. That's why it's nice to have Grayson, he holds me back and keeps me grounded.
