Silver ends up going home after spending an hour at my house, saying she's got things to do. Then it's just Jesse and me, in a room, alone. No one speaks for a while, I know he's dying to ask questions by the way his mouth always opens but nothing comes out. I'm sick of the silence so I make the first move.

"Jesse please just spit it out." Annoyance is clear in my tone,

"Why have you been crying?" There it is, the question of the hour.

"Me and Todd umm... we went to pick up some things?" I wasn't completely lying, I mean we did go get things.

"If that's true then why did it come out as a question, huh?" Argh. Why does he feel the need to know everything?

"Look, Jesse, it's pretty personal, not really a light subject to be talking about on a Thursday afternoon," I say.

"Do you trust me?" He says looking at me with a serious look in his eye.

"Umm, sure... I mean I haven't known you long but you've only ever been nice to me and you haven't done anything to prove to me that you aren't trustful. So yes I do trust you, why?"

"If you really do trust me like you say you do, you'll tell me where you went today. I won't judge." He says putting his hands up in surrender. I think about it, do I really want him to know? In order for him to understand where I went today, I'm going to have to tell him about my parents. I like to keep them out of conversations, it's hard enough thinking about them let alone speak about them.

"Touchy subject Jesse, whether I trust you or not has nothing to do with where I've been today."

"Okay what if we share something about each other in turns?" He suggests,

"These things never go well with us, but sure why the hell not," I say throwing my hands up in the air, giving up.

"That's the spirit, but there's a twist to this one."

"Of course, there is, please do tell me, Jesse, for I am the biggest fan of twists," I say sarcastically,

"It has to be personal, in order for us to actually get to know each other we need to know everything about each other." I sigh and massage my scalp.

"Why must you make things so difficult, I think we've established I don't do well with personal subjects."

"Live a little, we would've told each other eventually why not make it sooner rather than later?" He says,

"Fine, but if you ask something I really don't want to answer I won't. And no forcing answers." What did I just get myself into?

"You start," I tell him. He nods and sits there for a minute thinking about what he should ask.

"Okay, who's in the picture?" He says pointing down to where I locked the picture. I sigh already jumping head first into my personal life. Yay me. I walk over to the drawer and take out the frame, I take a seat next to Jesse and show him our smiling faces.

"On the left is my Mother, Faith, and on the right is my Father, Riley," I say pointing whilst telling him. He nods his head and grabs my hand and squeezes. I laugh and say,

"I'm fine. Okay, my go umm... Who's Sarah? Yeah, I think that's what her name was." His breath stops. His face goes blank.

"I think you mean Sage?" He speaks lowly, almost whispering.

"That's the one! I was close." I joke, he doesn't laugh only stares at my wall blankly. I squeeze his hand. He takes a deep breath.

"She's my sister but we lost touch when she moved away because of... something. I haven't talked to her for two years maybe three, that's why it was such a shock when she called. I didn't even know if she was alive." He whispers the last part. His hand gets another squeeze and I motion for him to ask me a question.
