Jesse POV

"Jesse honey! Abbie is at the door she wants to speak to you!" my mother shouted from downstairs,

"Okay hold on a sec!" I shout back to her.

I check myself out in the mirror to see if I look okay. Yes, you could say that I love myself, but I need to look good in front of the lady. The lady being Abigail. I run my hand through my hair, I'm going for the 'I woke up like this' hairstyle. The girls dig it. I smooth out my eyebrows, throw myself a smile and then walk out my bedroom and head downstairs. As I'm walking down I can hear my mother and Abigail speaking.

"He really did that! Oh god, that's funny!" She laughs.

She has a really cute laugh. Cute, really Jesse. I need to man up. I walk in the room and look at what's in front of me. Abigail is clutching her stomach because she's laughing so much. And there's my mother with a photo album open on her lap. Well shit.

"Really mother, did you have to show that," I say shaking my head, I walk over and take the album from her and put it back where it should be. The back of the cupboard. My mother laughs and leaves the room muttering something like 'you know you love me' under her breath.

"So, Abigail. You asked to speak to me?" I ask her with a raised eyebrow.

I'm hoping it's not because of this morning, maybe I was a bit harsh. But I wasn't being myself, I guess I'm still not used to this new lifestyle.

"Yes, I kind of missed the bus and Todd and Emma have already gone so, I was hoping you could give me a lift to school?" She asks with a hope full smile.

"I'll give you a lift. Only if you give me a kiss." Her eyes go wide.

I start walking up close to her. Every move I make towards her she makes a move back. She ends up hitting the wall. I put my arms by her head.

"What do you say?" I whisper in her ear. I love teasing her. Her cheeks glow bright red.

"I say, ever heard of personal space." she laughs nervously.

"I'm only joking, sure I'll give you a lift," I say moving away from her. She's still standing there when I'm by the door.

"Come on you lovesick puppy," I say with a wink.

She grab's her bag then walks past me and goes out the front door. I love messing with her. This car ride should be fun.

"Nice ride you got," she says quietly with her little finger pointing at my love. Sorry I mean my car. I have a black 1969 boss 429 mustang which my father and I done up right before he decided to leave us. The dick head.

"Thanks she's called Betty," I tell her. Yes, I named my car. And no I'm not embarrassed about it.

"Hop in and we'll make our way," I tell her. I make my way to the car so I can get to the driver's side. I get in and start the engine, Abigail is already in the passenger seat looking out the window. I think she's hoping this is going to be a quite drive. Boy is she wrong. I pull out the driveway and start making my way to our school.

"So, should we play a game?" I ask her. She looks over at me with an almost scared look in her eye.

"What kind of game?" She asks quietly.

"A question game, I'll ask you a question you answer it and in return, you get to ask me one."

"What if I don't want to answer one of the questions?" She asks,

"Okay how about this, if you don't want to answer the question you have to spend the whole day with me," I say and send a wink her way. I can see her thinking it through, she's not sure if she should say yes or not.
