I walked up the front steps to school and pushed open the front doors. The bus always dropped us off earlier than everyone, so hardly anyone was inside. I walked over to my locker and opened it.
When I did, I note fell out. I picked up the folded note off of the floor, and read it.

'Hey, Kate. Why don't you just crawl back into the shabby dumpster you came out of in the first place!' I clenched the note in my fist and threw it down the hall. The only people watching were Emily and her little minions. They were smirking and giggling. I knew immediately that Emily put the note in my locker. But I what I really wanted to know, was how the heck she knew my locker combination.

I grabbed my books and turned to leave, but only to see them standing in my way. I stepped around them, but Emily stuck her foot out and tripped me. I dropped all of my books and fell face first onto the floor. I pushed myself off the floor and started gathering my stuff. I stood up and looked her in the eye and glared.

I have had it with Emily. "Why don't you and your little minions get lost you walking mannequin!" She got this shocked look on her face, as if someone had just slapped her across the face with a fish. "Excuse me?" She said putting her hands on her hips, "do you have any idea what your doing?" She shoved me into my locker and laughed like a hyena. She turned to walk away, and I shoved her into the wall. Her friends gasped as she pushed herself off of the wall slowly.

She grabbed me by the neck and started to squeeze. I struggled to breathe as she started to squeeze harder and harder. My vision started swimming, and I thought I would pass out.
I punched her in the stomach and she let go immediately. I fell to the ground and gasped for air. She looked at me with hatred and said: "Come on girls, we have a story for the principle."

Shoot, I'm in major trouble, and it doesn't help that her dad IS the principle. Sitting and waiting for the call from the office over the intercom finally came. "Kate Walker, please come to the office, Kate Walker. I walked down to the office and stood by the door. "Kate, I know you're there." A cold, hard voice said. I walked hesitantly into the room. "Please, sit down." He said motioning to the chair. I sit down on the chair and looked at my feet instead of him. But I could still feel his gaze burning through me.

"I heard that you and Emily got into a fight..." He said, his voice filled with annoyance.
"Yes, we did." I said back. Man, this guy probably hates me.
"If I ever hear of you two fighting again, there will be major consequences. I'm letting you go this time. I know that Emily did most of it, and I will deal with her later."
And with that I left as fast as I could out of his office.

As soon as I left, the bell rang. Great, perfect timing. All of my books were still in my locker. I groaned in annoyance and headed back to my locker to get my books. The late bell was about to ring so as soon as I got my books, I ran to my first period class. The late bell rang as soon as I sat down, and a wave of relief washed over me. I couldn't focus, I had to figure out who was watching Colby at night.
