Smile Darling (Jeff the Killer)

Kidnapped.

I sat on my bed, thinking about what my mom said. Maybe she's right, maybe I shouldn't have let him go. But he was protecting Colby! I would do anything to protect him! But that man had stealth and smarts, I can't compete against that.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when a pebble started hitting the window. I was so startled that I fell of my bed face first. I pushed my face off of the floor and went to the window. I pulled back the curtains and saw Josh. Ugh, what does he want?

I pushed the window open. "Can I help you?" I asked him. "Um, you're being watched." He said pointing to a tree. I followed his gaze to the tree. It was him. The man. Also known as, Jeff.

As soon as I spoke that name in my mind, shivers went down my spine. He was sitting in the tree, partially hidden by leaves. "Wait? Do you know this guy?" He asked me suspiciously. With a twinge of jealousy in his voice. "Yeah. Sure." I said back. "Well, just wanted to make sure. Because honesty, he's creeping me out." He said walking away from the window.

I waved back and closed the window. I heard my mom walking toward my room, and I covered the window with the curtains and hopped back onto my bed. "Kate, one of the nurses went home sick, I have to go take there shift." I nodded, knowing I would be watching Colby tonight. But I know I won't be the only one.

She left the house and I heard her drive away. I went into the living room and saw Colby watching spongebob. He smiled at me and told me to come watch it with him. I forgot how much I loved this show, no matter how stupid it was. It still makes me smile. Colby and I started dying when Patrick said "FINLAND!" Literally the highlight of my day. Thirty minutes later, Colby fell asleep.

I put him to bed and went into my room. About an hour later, I started to drift off. But I was awoken to the sound of people yelling. I shot out of bed and ran to the door. I saw a dark van and three grown men. If they hadn't been putting Colby in the car, I wouldn't have suspected anything. Panic rose inside of me. "COLBY!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. Colby was screaming as loud as he could as well. I couldn't let them kidnap him, I had to do something!

I sprinted over to the van and started to hit them with my tiny doll fists. One of them pointed a gun at me, and I froze in fear. They shot, but I reacted quicker. I dodged the bullet, but then I tripped. One of them stood towering over me, and pointed the gun down at me. As they were about to shoot, someone tackled him and pinned him to the ground. It was Jeff!

He raised his knife and plunged into the mans heart. I cringed at the sight, but knew that he just saved my life. But I saw that the two other men were forcing Colby into the car. Jeff stabbed one of them in the back and threw him to the ground. But it was too late, the van was already driving off with Colby inside.

"NO! COLBY!" I yelled after the van. I collapsed onto the ground sobbing. "Hey, we can't just give up." I heard him say. "We?" I asked looking up at him. "Yes, we."
