Yvette

I woke up the next morning feeling good. I was wearing a flowy white tank top with a motorcycle jacket on top, dark skinnies and tall brown boots. I kept my make up simple and put my hair in a half up half down style. I was looking cute.

I hurried down to the bus stop to meet up with Aaliyah. The buses took forever and we were almost late for school, but we made it right on time. As I walked to my seat I could feel Amaris eyes scanning me from head to toe. Even after I took my seat his eyes were still on me. There was nothing wrong with looking but damn, this nigga was making me feel uncomfortable.

I turned to him, "Can I help you?"

"You look good today Yvette."

"Thank you, but you need to stop starring at me."

"My bad, I didn't know I couldn't look."

I rolled my eyes.

"Everyone pick partners for research assignment." Mr. Johnson announced.

He smiled at me, "Partner?"

"Um..."

I looked over at my girls, they all gave the 'go for it' look so I nodded.

"Sure." I said.

"What are you doing after school?"

"Nothing."

"Then you're rolling with me." He smirked.

Amari

After school I waited for Yvette by her locker. She asked me numerous times what we we're going to do after school but I told her she was just going to have to wait and see. She wasn't any regular bitch so I wasn't trying to get with her. I wanted to get to know her, and have some fun.

"Hey." She said walking up to me.

"Lets go."

"Can you please tell me where we're going?"

I laughed.

"The harborfront."

She looked confused.

"Why the harborfront?"

"Because I like it there, and I'm sure you'll like it too."

She nodded. The bus ride there wasn't too bad. She told me about her parents and her friends. She was from the rich part of WestBrooke. I was a little hesitant when she asked me where I was from, but I told her anyway. I told her how I moved from Chicago with my mom, I didn't know shit about my pops, and I was living in the projects until we could afford something better. That was all the information she needed to know for now.

"Come this way." I grabbed her hand and pulled her along.

We walked up the dock and I went right to edge as close to the water as I could get.  Back in Chicago, the harbor was my getaway. The place I'd go to think, plot my next moves and everything else. When we got to L.A., the first place I looked up was the city's harbor.

Yvette stood behind me, she starred straight out at the water looking scared as hell.

"Whats wrong Ma?" I asked her.

"I'm afraid of the water, I don't want to go too close."

"Dont sweat it, you're not going to fall, you got me right here. Come on."

"I-I don't know..."

"Yvette don't worry, nothings going to happen to you. Give me your hand."

She extended her hand and I grabbed it tight. I brought her down slowly and she sat next to me.

"Not so bad, right?"

She nodded. "It's beautiful. I see why you like it so much."

"Why you so scared of the water?"

"When I was little I almost drowned while we were on vacation. It was pretty bad. I almost died."

"Oh. Well, you don't need to worry. As long as you got me here, nothings going to happen to you, alright?"

She smiled and nodded.

I pulled a blunt out of pocket, lit it, and took a deep drag.

"You do this?" I asked her.

She looked scared again.

"No, I don't do that stuff."

Why not?"

"I don't see the appeal in getting high."

I laughed.

"Dont think of it like that. It calms you down and allows you  to free your mind."

She gave me a weird look.

"Go ahead, try it."

"I don't know...."

"I won't force you, it's your choice."

"How do I do this?" she asked smiling.

I taught her how to smoke and before I know she was a pro. You never would've guessed she was a first timer. She didn't cough or nothing.

It was starting to get dark outside and Yvette had to get home so we left. On the ride home she told me how much fun she had and how she never expected to try kush. It was cute how innocent she was. I was glad she had a good time, I could tell she was starting to like a nigga. She gave me a hug before she got off the bus. I watched her until she was out of sight. Man, she had me feeling some ways. I couldn't let myself get too distracted though. I still had 15 grams to sell in less than a week. Somehow I was going to have to eventually tell her about my whole plot. I felt like she wouldn't fuck with me if she saw the other side of me, but I was willing to take the chance. I knew it was going to be worth it.

Things are heating up between Amari and Yvette!
