5 years later...

A loud moan escaped my lips as Amari pushed me against the glass window of our condo. He plunged himself into me, going deeper and deeper with every stroke. My hand reached back and pressed on his hard chest. Amari grabbed both my arms holding them behind my back as he continued to put in work. I matched his strokes by throwing it back at him. Amari quickly grabbed my body and threw me back on the bed while positioning himself in between my legs. He lifted my legs onto his shoulders, going slow and deep, just how I liked it. A few minutes later the room was filled with my screams as my body shook with a blissful climax.
"All these years and you're still screaming like it's your first time. "Amari joked.
"Shut up" I said as I punched him playfully in the shoulder.
"Let me go take a shower real quick. "Amari said getting off the bed.
He gave me a quick kiss before grabbing his stuff and disappearing into the washroom. I lay back on the bed, my breathing still heavy from the two hours of loving that had just taken place. I closed my eyes allowing myself to be with my thoughts. A lot had changed in the last five years and it all happened so fast. It felt like just yesterday I was sitting in class ready to start the New Year. I never would've imagined my life going in the direction it did. The events of that year were only the beginning. Over the last five years, our organization grew tremendously. We made more money than I had ever seen in my life. From the time Amari took out Darius, it was smooth sailing. We moved out of the apartment and Amari bought his mother a condo in the area I used to live in. It was much safer and he felt comfortable knowing she was no longer in harm's way. We then got our condo downtown; a penthouse suite with the most beautiful view of the city. Trouble still came our way every now and then, we couldn't avoid it. But everyone was living well, and we had all come a long way.
My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of my phone vibrating continuously. I looked to see it was Aaliyah calling. She was the only one I had told about everything that had happened. She and I had remained best friends through everything which showed me she really was my ride or die. I had lost contact with my other friends after that year. I couldn't tell them the truth or explain why I wasn't around so the friendships didn't last.
"Hey girl." I said as I picked up the phone.
"Yvette, I've been calling you all morning! You better not be ignoring your best friend." She grumbled.
"Of course not, I was just... busy." I said as my lips formed a slight smirk.
"Oh I see, you and Amari were getting your freak on." She teased
I kissed my teeth at her.
"You said you were calling all morning, what's going on?" I asked to change the subject.
"I wanted to know what the plan was for your birthday party tonight!"
I had completely forgotten about my party. With all the excitement I had woken up to, it slipped my mind. Today was my 22nd birthday and I couldn't wait to turn up later tonight with everyone. Amari had rented the penthouse suite of the most expensive hotel downtown. He had woken me up with breakfast in bed and one delicious dessert. I was supposed to meet Aaliyah at the mall in a bit to go shopping for outfits and have lunch. I told Aaliyah that from the mall we would come back to my place, get ready and Amari and X would meet us to go to the club. From there we'd go to the hotel.
We planned to meet at the mall in two hours since it was already noon. As I got off the phone, Amari stepped out of the bathroom with just a towel wrapped around his waist. His caramel skin shined from the water that still glazed his body. Lord knows if I didn't have to get ready we'd be going for round 5 right now.
