Amari

Today I was bringing Yvette to the safe house to see what really went on. I thought it'd be helpful for her, plus it was about time she formally met Rocky.

My mom had let me borrow the car for the day so we didn't have to take the bus for once.

When we arrived at the location I quickly jumped out the car and went around the side to open Yvette's door. I wanted her to feel as comfortable as possible today. She looked damn good too. She wore all black with her red lipstick popping. I swear to god I had the best looking girl. Actually, I hadn't actually asked her to be my girlfriend yet, but I was working on it.

We walked up to the door and I did the special knock. Two guys opened the door and greeted us. I didn't recognize the two, but I knew Rocky had more than enough men on his team. In time I'd find myself more familiar with them.

They lead us through a long dark hallway to what felt like the other side of the building.

"Rocky will be with y'all in a minute. Wait here until he comes out." One of them said.

I nodded as they walked away.

"So what exactly are we here for?" Yvette asked.

"You're going to see what we do." I told her.

Before she could respond, Rocky swung the door open greeting us.

"What's up nigga?" He said as we did a quick handshake. "This must be the lovely Yvette, am I right?"

She nodded.

"Come in my office."

We walked into the dimly lit room. I wish this nigga had a better looking place. I knew it was just the safe house but damn, this looked like shit inside. One little light hung from the ceiling, barely allowing me to check out the room. There was a small flat screen in the corner and a two seated sofa in front. Beside it was a big wooden desk, like the kind teachers had. I was nowhere near impressed.

"Have a seat." He directed us.

"So what's on the agenda today?" I asked.

"We got some shipments in. They need to be measured, packaged, and distributed to our dealers."

"Shipments of what?" Yvette asked.

"Dope and coke." Rocky said smirking.

"Oh..." she trailed off.

"Amari you know how to measure and package I assume?"

"Is that even a question?" I asked raising an eyebrow.

Who the fuck did this nigga think I was?

He laughed.

"Good. I've got some other business to attend to. Some mothafuckas don't want to repay their debts. Handle the shipments, they’re in the closet on the right. When y'all are done feel free to explore a bit. The boys will show you out later."

"Alright."

"Oh and before I go I should tell you, your office the one right beside mine. Go ahead and make yourself cozy. You'll be spending nights here every now and then."

Once Rocky left, Yvette and I grabbed the shipments from the closet as he asked and went over to the next room. When I opened the door I was less thrilled than when I saw Rocky's office. The room was dark and dusty. There was no furniture and so help me god I swear I saw spider webs. What the hell was this?

Safe houses were always broken down looking on the outside but not on the inside. Back in Chicago my places were the best. Not only were they a place for business, but a place for my niggas to kick it as well. We kept them nice.

This place was nothing close to the standards I was used to. What did Rocky use all his money on? There was no way I'd spend any nights in this place. Not unless he fixed this shit up.

"This is not at all what I imagined Amari." Yvette said.

"I know, I know. Me niether. Let's just work in his office for now."

I looked around and found all the equipment we were going to need for the job. I got a scale to weigh and measure the product and capsules and bags to place the final amounts. This was a piece of cake for me. Dope and coke were sold in specific amounts. All were very standard. I could do this in my sleep. Teaching Yvette on the other hand would be my challenge.

Yvette

Three hours later, the drugs were ready to be distributed to the dealers. We separated the two into different boxes and left them on Rocky's desk. Surprisingly it wasn't hard at all. Even Amari was shocked that I had caught on so quick to the measurements. I guess this thing wasn't going to be as hard as I thought.

We went looking around the rest of the safe house. Not many people were here today I guess because most of the rooms were empty. As we walked down the dark hallway we heard music blasting from one of the doors. We walked in and found a bunch and niggas and raunchy looking females sitting around talking and smoking.

"What’s up Amari!" One of them called.

"Doing work nigga. Yvette this is Xavier, X for short. X this is Yvette."

"Nice to meet you ma." He said smiling at me.

"You too." I said quietly.

Amari and X kept on talking while I surveyed the room. I recognized a couple of the other females in here from school. All hoes of course. They were half dressed and all up on these niggas dicks. No surprise there. They all watched me like I was from another planet. The fuck was their problem.

"Who's this bitch?" One said popping her gum.

Amari's attention diverted to me.

"Who the fuck you calling a bitch? Shut the fuck up hoe." He said to the girl.

"Who you calling a hoe?" She yelled standing up.

"Sit your ass down. You ain't hurting anybody." Amari spat.

"Both of y'all calm down. Denise shut your ass up and come sit down." One of the guys said to her.

If there was one thing I couldn't stand were these rachet hoes who felt like ran the fucking world. I was hoping there would other females here besides me but these girls were clearly not here for the same reason as me. It was bad enough I had to deal with these kinds at school, now I had to see them here too.

"Come on, we're done here for the day." Amari said to me.

"Thank god." I said.

"Hey Amari if you get bored of that little trick you can always holla at me baby." Denise called out.

"Bitch sit your dick sucking ass down." I yelled back at her as we walked out the door.

The nerve of this hoe!

"Don't worry about them. I'm not even interested." Amari said.

I laughed.

"I'm not worried." I said flipping my hair.

He laughed.

"You want to go grab something to eat?"

"Sure."

"Hold on Rocky's calling me." Amari said confused.

I thought Rocky was out handling somebody. Why did he need to call Amari?

"Yeah. Alright. We'll be there." Amari said hanging up.

"What is it?"

"We need to go handle some mothafuckas."
