When Ethan said I would like the place he wasn't joking. The place was secluded, it had crème walls and it was enclosed. We had a booth in the back; I looked around the place in awe. He must have tried hard to fine this place the air was cool and he was smiling a lot it was creepy but I liked it.
"Do you like it?" He asked.
"Yes, it's wonderful."
"Thank god. I searched the entire week for something like this." He sighed in relief. "But I don't get why you didn't want to go somewhere more."
"Because I like simple things and if I like something fancy I must really like it." I smiled and sipped the water that was on the table.
"You're different from any other woman that I have met."
"Like bad different or good different?" I asked. In high school I was deemed as weird.
"Definitely good. Belle I'm waiting for a call strictly business it's my company in Germ..." I interrupted him.
"You don't have to explain I understand its business." I placed my hand on his and squeezed it with a smile.
"Definitely good different, most women would be furious about it." He smiled.
"As you said I'm not like other women." Our fingers were together. A waiter came up to her table giving me a big smile.
"Here are your menus, is there anything you would like to drink?" He asked looking at me more than Ethan. Ethan's face grew red with anger.
"No we don't want anything to drink." Ethan answered a bit too harshly and he made the waiter jump.
"Okay I will be back in a few minutes." He smiled and stalked off.
I sat with the menu in front of my face deciding what to order. The chicken picatta looked tasty and I would have the chocolate cake for dessert. I looked over at Ethan who hadn't looked at the menu because it was closed and still on the table. He was staring like he was in deep thought and it worried me.
"Ethan are you okay?" I asked, he snapped out of whatever he was considering.
"Yes." He smiled.
"Did you decide what you want?" I asked.
"No." He answered.
"Aren't you going to look at the menu?"
"I know the menu." He said but I was distracted. A waitress was passing with an ankle bracelet, it had heart charms and music ones it was really cute. It wasn't simple and it wasn't fancy it was just perfect, I watched as she passed with the anklet.
"Belle." Ethan touched my arm. I turned back to him.
"Yes."
"Do you like it?" He asked.
"Like what?" I was lost to what he was saying.
"The anklet, you were staring at it."
"Oh yea I like it, it's really cute." If I even wanted to buy one I couldn't. I had to save all my money for a very rainy day.
"So you like jewellery?" He asked.
"Yes. I'm a woman after all. Diamonds are a girl's best friend." I smiled. Our waiter came back his face a little pale when Ethan started to glare at him. He took the menus and our orders. Ethan ordered the same thing as me; he said we could share the cake.
"So Belle where did you grow up?"
"Tennessee then we moved to New York after my mother passed away." I missed my mother she was my best friend and was a good judge of character.
