Well when I woke Ethan was gone and the bed was cold and lonely. Sunday Emily and I had a little picnic outside, just mother and child. When night came I filled the tub and Emily and I had a little bath together. She wailed at first but then started to splash around. We finished our little bath and fed her and rocked her to sleep.

Monday morning I woke up in a sluggish move, I went to Emily's room to see if my angel was still asleep. Her face always made me feel better. I went back to my room and took a shower, took out my usual work attire pencil skirt and a green silk blouse and pumps. Beatrix was already downstairs with Emily cooing and playing with her. Beatrix had taken a liken to Emily and I she was a good woman. Gale was already outside waiting patiently for me outside, I was a little happier now.

"Hey Gale." I greeted the older man.

"Good morning Ms. Johnson, how was your weekend?" He asked as we drove off, Tyrone trailing us.

"Nothing special went to a charity thing and had a little picnic with Emily. How about you?"

"Nothing just spent it with my wife and kids." He smiled. He has a family; I want a family husband, kids and whatever came with it.

"How old are your kids?" I asked.

"Jimmy is 15 you know teenagers..." he trailed. "Brittany is 13 and feisty." He sighed.

"They are teenagers."

"They argue a lot with each other and us."

"Just bear with them, they are in their troubled years." I reassured him.

"If you say so, but in my day teens weren't like this."

"Different generation Gale." I touched his shoulder.

"Here we are." The car stopped.

"Thanks and your children love you and each other very much." I stepped out when he opened the door.

"Thanks Ms. Johnson." He gave me a broad smile. I walked in the building replaying the conversation. Will Emily be like that? The elevator was full and I stood at the back watching people get off. The 20th floor was the last floor and I got off the elevator seeing Ally and Mary Ann both standing there having a conversation about the London trip. I liked my friends they were different.

"Good morning." They said in unison.

"Ladies." I smiled at them.

"Ms. Johnson I need to speak to you about something." Ally said.

"Ally please calls me Cassie and okay when we reach the office out of preying ears we'll speak." I looked over at Mary Ann who was giggling at my comment.

"Alright Cassie." Ally said.

"So Cassie loving this dress." Mary Ann brought the magazine forward.

"Yes it's beautiful." Ally chipped in.

"Which one of you will ask for it?" I looked at them.

"I would but you have to have curves to pull it off." Mary Ann said.

"I can't pull it off even if I try." Ally said.

"Well I can't wear it again." I shrugged. I didn't want to have more arguments with him.

"Why?"

"I don't want to have to argue with him about the dress again." I said as we reached my office. "We'll talk about it at lunch." I said going in my office.
