Chapter 9: Another enemy encounter

Yuri POV

When I regained consciousness I felt the wind in my face. I slowly opened my eyes to see Lucy's face, she was carrying me. "Lucy! What's going on?"
"Yuri! I'm so glad you're okay! As for what's going on...this forest is out to kill everyone inside it!"
"Where's Natsu?"
"He's saving Levy" Lucy stopped running and put me down. We were standing by a cliff's edge.
"Phew! I'm so tired!"
"This forest gives nature a bad name"
"You said it" I tried to walk but ended up falling backwards. "Yuri!" Lucy grabbed my hand before I hit the ground and pulled me up. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Guess I can't walk yet"
"You're body is probably still regaining its strength"
"Let me check that theory" my wings folded out and I tried flying but I couldn't flap them at all yet alone flap them fast enough. "It seems you are correct"
"We'll rest here until you've regained your strength"
"I don't think that's an option. Look!" Vines had started to slowly reach for us.
"But I can't keep running! I'm too worn out..." We started to back away from the vines when we fell into something.
"Eek!" We'd walked into a black swamp.
"Oh no! I hope it's not a bottomless swamp!" I said worriedly. We quickly sunk up to our chests. "This wasn't here when we arrived"
"I know. It just appeared out of nowhere" The vines shrank away. "At least they'll leave us alone" We clasped hands as we were submerged into the swamp. We were surrounded by darkness then something yellow flashed in the darkness. Frightened we both wrapped our arms around each other. The yellow got closer until I could make out that they were two yellow eyes. I couldn't make out the body because it blended with the darkness around us. The yellow eyes stopped in front of us and we were shaking with fear. Then I heard a deep voice:
"Do not forget your mission Yuri Sakura. You are to complete all the jobs requested by Tori Springs. You will not remember this encounter" Hypnotised by its bright yellow eyes I nodded my head. Then I felt something wrap around us. It tightened crushing us and we couldn't hold in our cries of pain. Eventually the pain overwhelmed us and we lost consciousness.

Lucy POV

I groaned as I regained consciousness. I scanned my surroundings to conclude that we were in a cell of some sort. Some sort meaning that we were in a glass box that had two metal walls, bars outside of it and there was a random hole that had a pipe connected to it that disappeared into the back brick wall. "Where are we now?" I shook Yuri awake.
"Hmm...?" She opened her eyes and stared at me until recognition hit her. "What happened? Where are we?"
"Something with yellow-" I felt a burning hot hand clutch my throat. I began gasping for air.
"Lucy stop trying to talk!" I did so and the hand disappeared. "Seems like whatever happened is related to our enemy if you can't tell me and I can't remember"
"He appears at the most random times"
"That's very true. Where are we?"
"I don't know. Someone captured us from what I can tell" Then two familiar figures walked in front of the box. "You!"
"Did you miss us?"
"Let us out of here!"
"No can do my little brunette, we have to show you sex toys what happens when you step out of line"
"We're not your sex toys! We don't belong to you!"
"Calm down blondie, you're right about that"
"About what?"
"You don't belong to us. Not anymore anyway. We're going to use you as an example to other sex toys about what happens when they are defiant" My hands went to my belt but came up empty. Huh?
"Looking for these?" The guy who had violated me was swinging my keys around his finger. "We're not that dumb" I also noticed that the guy who had violated Yuri was swinging her charm bracelet around his finger.
"You had nice bodies but oh well. All good things must come to an end" They left and we both slumped to the floor of the box.
"We're trapped with no way out..."
"Natsu will find us, right?"
"I don't know. This box will make it hard for him to pick up our scents" Just then a lilac coloured gas entered the box through the hole and Yuri made a barrier to protect us from the gas. "How long can you keep this up for?"
"More than ten minutes, since I haven't used my magic energy much today"
"That'll give us some time" Then outside the box started to fill with water. "Oh no..."
"What is it?"
"Our scents are probably faint right now and Natsu can't smell things that are underwater so he has a low chance of being able to find us"
"So what are you saying?"
"I think we're going to die in here"

Natsu POV

I carried Levy out of the forest. "Finally! That forest is evil" I put Levy down.
"Thank you for rescuing me but where's Lu-Lu and Yuri?"
"I don't know. Their scents led out of the forest but they're really faint now"
"I think we should meet up with the rest of the team"
"Erza is going to kill me for flying off"
"Maybe she will, maybe she'll do it quickly"
"Way to reassure me Levy"
"Sorry but meeting up with everyone is the best tactic"
"You're right, let's go" I put her down and followed the red head's scent. We found everyone 10 minutes later and Erza scolded me harshly all while holding a sword to my throat. I was visibly shaking in utter fear of her. "I-I'm sorry! It won't h-happen again!" At least I hope it doesn't. She withdrew her sword.
"It better not happen or you'll really be sorry"
"A-aye!"
"Good. Now that that's sorted we still need to find the girls"
"I can't catch their scents but I can catch the scents of their kidnappers"
"Really?"
"I took the liberty of smelling Lucy to discover that she had some man's scent all over her. The same with Yuri"
"Then follow those scents so we can beat the crap out of whoever took our girls"
"Gladly Daisuke" I caught the men's scent. "They're on the other side of the city which is a good 15 minutes away"
"That's too long! Who knows what they're doing to them now that they got them back?!"
"Calm down Levy, I give permission for Natsu to fly ahead this time"
"Yes! Come on Happy!"
"Aye sir!" Happy picked me up and swiftly flew through the city. We're coming girls hold on tight.

Yuri POV

It'd been 12 minutes and I was getting tired. "Are you okay?"
"So so..."
"You're getting tired"
"I'm not going without a fight..."
"I'm sorry there's nothing I can do to help you"
"You got us out here...which let us know for...sure that the guild know where...we are and are looking...for us"
"But now we're back in their custody and I can only sit here and hope that we get saved"
"Lucy-" Before I could reply the metal walls on either side of us started to creak. "Okay, that can't be good..."
"What's happening now?!" The walls then started to move in on us. "Oh no!" The walls moved quickly and were now pushing against the barrier.
"This just...got a whole...lot harder...!" The barrier started to crack as the pressure on my arms was too great.
"Yuri! You're exhausting yourself!"
"I can't...give up...not now..." I will protect you for as long as I can. I summoned the last of my magic energy to strengthen the barrier.
"Yuri this is too dangerous!"
"There isn't...any other...options available...!"
"Natsu please get here quick!" Even with my remaining magic energy I couldn't keep the barrier up. It began to crack again.
"I...can't..." My vision blurred and I fell to my knees.
"Yuri!"
"I'm...sorry..." The barrier broke and I fell onto my side. The walls stopped moving. They were just trying to get us to breathe the gas! As soon as I inhaled it my temperature dropped significantly, I began shivering as sharp pains started in my stomach. My screams matched Lucy's but the difference was she wasn't shivering and she held her head instead of her stomach. The gas must have different effects on different people...Lucy stopped screaming. I looked back at her to see she was unconscious. "L-L-Lucy...!" I tried getting to her but my body was still weak from using all my magic energy. I hugged myself as I got colder. Another pain attacked my stomach and I vomited up blood. She was right...we're going to die in here...Daisuke, I'll miss you. I fell into a cold darkness.
