My door banging open the next morning woke me up. And then I heard the sound of Variel's voice.

"Rise and shine, beautiful! It's time to wake up and make you absolutely gorgeous for...Oh, my God!" she yelled.

I groaned as I buried my face in my pillow.

My pillow that was a lot harder than it was the night before.

And that strangely smelled like...

Owen!

I immediately sat up and looked from Variel, who was standing in the doorway with her jaw dropped, and Owen, who was just starting to wake up. He looked so cute when he was waking up...

"Owen! What are you still doing here?" I asked.

He visibly bit his lip, trying to hide his grin. "I guess I fell asleep with you," he said. He looked over at Variel and her look of absolute shock. "Hey, there. You kind of ruined the nice sleep that Lola and I were having."

"I..." Variel couldn't seem to find the words as she just looked at the two of us in my bed.

"Well, I guess I'd better go get ready for school," Owen said, still grinning as he pushed the covers off of him.

I watched his back as he leaned down to grab his shirt off the floor. Once he pulled it back on, he turned toward me and took my hand in his.

"How did you sleep? No dream visions again?" he asked. His voice wasn't in a joking tone like it had been with Variel, who was still standing there in my doorway. "You didn't wake up screaming again."

I shook my head. "No, and thanks for staying with me...the entire night. You should have just left after I fell asleep."

He playfully grinned at me as he stood up. "Who said I wanted to?" he said.

I watched as he walked to my door and brushed passed Variel. She was watching him also until he disappeared into his room and shut the door. Then she turned to me.

"What...was...that?" she asked slowly.

I bit the inside of my cheek. "Um...I kind of had a dream vision of how the attack on D.C. starts and he came in when I woke up screaming. I wanted him to stay with me until I fell asleep, but I guess he did, too..."

"Oh, my God!" she screamed, running over to jump on my bed. "This is so amazing! You and Owen are going to start dating, then you're going to get engaged! Arin and I are totally planning your wedding, okay? And we'd better be your maids of honor! You guys can pick the honeymoon destination, even though you'll probably be in the bedroom the entire time!"

"Variel!" I yelled. My face started heating up at her words. "Shut up! That's not going to happen!"

She laughed and started jumping up and down on my bed, her dark purple hair flying everywhere. "Sure, it is! And then after you get married, you can have babies! You and Owen would made some great looking babies. And they would be cute little mutant babies! And with your control over the elements and visions and Owen's strength, speed, and control over energies, I wonder what kind of combination your kids would have! They'd definitely get your vision gene. Actually, Owen's family has that gene, too, since his grandma saw him and..."

"Variel, what are you doing jumping up and down on Lola's bed?" Arin said as she walked in to my room.

"Owen and Lola are going to get married and have adorable mutant babies!" she yelled while she continued to jump on my bed.
