Chapter 14
"Well, you didn't succeed in what I wanted you to do," Alex said to him.
He shrugged. "She had the girl. She stopped me," he said.
That wasn't all true, though. When he opened his eyes to look at her in the parking lot of the school, he tried his hardest to fight Alex's control. He managed for a few moments, but then he couldn't stop himself. He fought the entire time and was just about to break it when Chloe put up the force field between them.
"Well," Alex said, standing up to walk in front of him.
His stomach twisted in nervousness. He didn't want Alex to make him...
Alex looked right into his eyes and he saw his pupils dilate before going back to normal.
"You are officially out of my control," he said.
He felt like a ton of weight had been lifted from his shoulders. He was really free.
Alex smiled. "You might be out of it, but you're not free just yet," he said, grinning menacingly.
