Chapter 3: Getting Help

Alex's POV:

Once the movie finished Adam said that some people could stay over since it was getting pretty late and he wanted everyone to be safe. Only me, Jordan, Max, and Red stayed over night. Me and Red had the couches and Jordan and Max had a guest bedroom.

I talked with Jordan in the kitchen for a bit before I went back to the living room to sleep, "Hey Jordan... are you and Max a thing now?" I ask with curiosity "Actually... I don't know. He seems okay with me flirting with him and he flirts back but maybe he's just doing it for the fun of it. It's just hard to tell if he has actual feelings for me." Jordan says with a little bit of sadness in her voice "Well I think he's into you plus, Adam and Red agree with me about how you guys would be cute together and all. Max isn't the way he is around you to me. He acts different. Like he's trying to impress you more." I pat her on the back trying to comfort her "Well if Max isn't into me that's okay. I think Red's into you, you guys seem like good friends and you guys get along well. He was blushing really hard too when you first waved at him too... I saw him. Do you think you're going to ask him out?" Jordan asks, I sigh thinking about if I should or not "Well it's like I've just met him so before anything real happens I really want to get to know him. See if he'll be good boyfriend material. I'm not even 100% sure I like him right now anyways..." "Well I'm 100% sure he's interested in you" Jordan says and we both laugh and head to our rooms for the night.

I walk into the living room and Red is already resting on the couch... he must've noticed me come in because he said "Hey I can sleep on the floor if you want." Ugh he's so polite and adorable... "Uh no need, we can just share the couch if you're okay with that. It's fairly big enough in my opinion, I mean if you're okay with it..." I ask shyly "Oh okay sure just let me move over a little..." Then Red scootches over and I lay down with him and he wraps his arm around me and we fall asleep.

I wake up and Red isn't with me anymore, he must've gotten up already. I get up and go to the washroom and fix up my hair and such for the day. I keep the same clothes on but just kind of pat it down like a mini clean up. Then I wash my face a little bit and continue with my little routine... I've been to Adam's before so I basically know where everything is.

Adam POV:

It was just me in the kitchen this morning and I was just making some breakfast when Red came in. "Hi Red, have fun last night?" I say and wink at him "Hahah very funny..." He says as he sits down at the counter and pulls out his phone. "I came in the living room last night and you and Alex were on the couch cuddling... it was honestly pretty cute. When are you going to ask her out?" I ask and raise an eyebrow "Well I don't know if she's even into me, she could just be being friendly and wants a good impression becuase I'm your friend. But I mean I do kind of like her but I barely know her... but I want to know more..." I kind of process all of it in my head then say "I mean I could help make it happen and I could ask her if she likes you or not. But the rest is all you." Red scratches the back of his neck, thinking a little "Eh I guess so, a little help couldn't hurt... but only if she's interested" As I finish my sentence Alex walks in and it just goes silent... shit I don't want things to be awkward. Then I realize Adam is winking at me as he leaves the room. Oh well that's just great, now I have to make conversation myself.

Alex's POV:

I walk into the kitchen and everything goes silent, I thought I heard them talking so why'd they just stop? Were they talking about me? Huh whatever. It's a little awkward to be honest. Wait why is Adam leaving? Oh god now I have to make conversation and I don't think I can do that right now. Red doesn't seem to happy about Adam leaving either... hmm I better say something. "Uh good morning." Shit that was so dumb. You can hear how uncomfortable I am with how I said that... God damnit I suck at this. "Hi, good morning to you too. Sorry about it being a little quiet I'm not fully awake yet so I might be a little out of it." Red answers and we both laugh a little. "Well me too don't worry, I kind of look like a zombie right now too so that's just great." I say and we continue to laugh "How long are you going to be here for? Maybe you could come back to my place and we could hang out and play video games." He asks me... I take a moment to process what he just said "Oh yeah sure! I just have to make sure Jordan's okay with that. We were supposed to do a challenge video today so I'll just see if we can do it tomorrow." He nods to my response and then Adam returns to finish making breakfast, once we finish I make sure I'm not missing anything and check up with Jordan to make sure she's okay with me moving the challenge date to tomorrow. She seems okay with it, I think she's going hang out with Max and Ross anyways. So I find Red and he says "Hey are you ready to go?" I nod in response and we head out. I think I saw Adam wink at Red... it's probably nothing.

I'm excited to hang out with Red!
