Hi! Just a quick note, you guys can envision my characters anyway you want, but this is just how I personally see Addison's family:
Addison's Mom - Connie Britton (when she was on Friday Night Lights)
Addison's Dad - Simon Baker (American, not Australian)
Alec (her little brother) - Zach Roerig (when he was on Vampire Diaries season 1)
vorfruede (noun)- the joyful, intense anticipation that comes from imagining future pleasures
"Alec!" I wiggled out of Harry's grasp and placed my hands on Alec shoulders, which were much broader than I had remembered.
"Addison." His beautiful, bright, blue eyes sparkled as he gave me that lopsided smirk that I loved so much. "I missed you! It's good to have you home."
"I missed you, too." I squeezed his shoulders, hugging him tightly. "Since when did you get so handsome? You used to be so ugly."
"I really missed your charm." He joked.
"Who wouldn't?" I rolled eye eyes and we both laughed.
Alec ran a tongue against his smile before glancing over at Harry. "Who's that?"
I sweetly kissed his cheek. "We'll talk tomorrow, okay, bug?"
"I am not a bug." Alec immediately rubbed my kiss off his cheek with his palm.
He harshly glared at Harry, who didn't notice, before stepping back Dad could me us.
"Addison! Oh my, you look stunning." My dad exclaimed, throwing his arms out.
"Hey, Dad." I inhaled the familiar Docle & Gabbana cologne that clung to his Vineyard Vines quarter-zip as he pulled me into a deep hug. "I missed you."
Dad was extremely handsome, he always was. Alec and I resembled him mostly, especially the blonde hair, blue eyes, and the plump lips. Dad was a corporate lawyer who was always on the road for work, so Alec and I never saw him as much as we wished. But whenever we did see him, we were overjoyed by his sweet personality and loose rules.
"Hey, kiddo." Dad grinned as we pulled away, adjusting his circular tortoise eyeglasses on his nose. "You look beautiful. Oh, Ad, it's so nice to have you home. I missed you terribly."
"I missed you too, dad." I laughed, feeling giddy from being around my family.
"How's school? Aria? Mason? Are your classes hard? What are you going to do after school? I have so many questions, my dear."
I gave Dad a kind smile, slipping my hands in his soft ones. "I love you. We can talk all about my life tomorrow."
"I love you too, Ad. We missed you." Dad gave my hands a squeeze before stuffing his hands in his pockets. "We thought you'd get here sooner."
"I had afternoon classes and Harry had work to take care of." I gave an apologetic smile.
"Of course." Dad pursed his lips, understanding. "We have time tomorrow to catch up, don't we? We have the world to talk about."
I hummed agreeingly before hugging Mom, who's unfamiliar perfume that lingered on her soft pink blouse tickled my nose when I hugged her.
Mom was also gorgeous, just like Dad. Even with years of age on her, she looked amazing. Neither Alec nor I looked that much like her, especially considering that she had red hair and green eyes. Mom was a popular interior designer who had the privilege to work almost always on her own time. Mom was a huge nag, and we almost never got along after I turned the age of 14.
