Phil's POV
"We can go see him at some point, right?" I ask the doctor hopefully. Luckily he tells us that we can go and see him now but one at a time and Holly and I decide that it's only fair Caitlin sees him first as they are family.

Caitlin's POV
I take a deep breath and follow the doctor to Dan's hospital room. I feel another lump in my throat start to form as I see my brother there, lying peacefully with a huge bruise on his head. There's so much I want to say to him so I sit by his bed and, even though I'm sure he can't hear, I let out everything that was on my chest.
"First of all, Dan, I'd like to say that you can tell us anything and it saddens me to think that the only way out is to hit your head on a wall. Is it something I did? Something Holly did? Something Phil did? Whatever it is, you can tell any of us, always. We all love you more than words can describe..."
It felt like I had been talking forever but after about 10 minutes of talking I feel better and finish by planting a soft kiss on my brother's head and reminding him,
"You are loved. Stay strong, fighter." and walk out of the room with tears streaming my face.

Holly's POV
Phil's been crying non-stop since we found out about Dan. So when Caitlin came back, we decide that I should go while Phil calms down. I enter Dan's room and cautiously sit on the chair next to his bed. I sit in silence for a moment thinking what to say to him, the only sound being his heart monitor quietly beeping every few seconds. I suddenly decide to tell him happy things. I'm not sure if he can hear me or not, but I decide to tell him about the time he started dating Phil, our Death Note sessions together and us both singing and dancing to Muse, Fall Out Boy and The 1975. I finish by saying,
"We can make more of these memories, Dan, just wake up. You can do it." And I swear I can see a small smile form on his face.

Phil's POV
Holly comes back looking quite happy and it makes me happy, perhaps he's waking up. I jump up from my seat and start speed walking to Dan's room. I'm about to walk in when I see a group of doctors running in. I hear them shout things like
"Hurry up!"
"It's no use."
"We're losing him." I begin to panic and peer through the window to see Dan looking pale and his heart monitor stop beeping and start slowing down.
No, please don't leave me. I can't live without you. You saved me when I had no one. Don't leave me now.
