We finally arrived at the festival. There was so many great works of art. I was just barely getting started! I grabbed my phone and slipped it in my pocket. Today was really hot. Maybe the jeans were a bad idea? Eh. It's okay. The first booth we came across was handcrafted jewelry. It was so beautiful! "Mom, see this? Look how pretty." I said as I picked up a beautiful pair of metal earrings that had a rainbow sort of tint to them. "Awe. Those are beautiful. Want them? They're only 10 dollars." "You sure mom?" "Yes sweetie. I know you always stress about money but you can get these." Although we were middle class people, we were a little tight on money. I'm always good about budgeting. I don't beg. I wait patiently for things I want.

"Hmm. Are you really sure?" I said with hesitation. "Yes. Yes. I am." "Okay then..." I would love to have a job at a feed store but haven't looked yet. For sure when I turn 16 I'm gonna have to look for one. Luckily my mom hasn't pressured me into getting one. 10 minutes later we met up with Clara and Sam. "You guys made it!" said Clara as she was walking up to us with Sam behind her dressed all in a clean t-shirt, jeans, boots, and cap. "Hey! Yes we did! There's so many beautiful things and we just got started." "So how are y'all?" Oh how am I? I am great considering Sam and I got shot in my dream. "I'm doing good. This heat is ridiculous." "I'm doing good. A little drowsy today but I'm okay." I said as I caught myself drifting off into space.

We walked for about 30 minutes more looking at all the art, which seemed to get more and more expensive. It was a beautiful day besides the heat. There I was again. Daydreaming. We were holding hands. How? Just how? That dream was overwhelming. I felt a tap on my arm. I turned to look who it was and low and behold, Sam. "Umm. My aunt is having me get drinks for us. Wanna go?" Oh crap. Stay cool, Katie. Stay. Cool. "Sure" We walked to the drink stand which was about 5 minutes away. I found myself just a little ways away from Sam. Far enough that people wouldn't know we were walking together. "Hey cutie" said a voice that I oh so recognized. It made me sick to my stomach. I kept walking but picked up my speed. I heard him. Oh he was following me. Before I knew it he got my arm. "HEY cutie" he said louder this time."Mason what do you want?!" "I want you back is what I want." "Oh ha ha so funny. Good luck. I've moved on. You treated me like trash."But baby! I mi--" "Hey. Who are you and what are you doing?" "It's none of your business okay? So go on and leave." "I won't. And you better not lay a hand on her. Leave her alone." Oh no. What is happening?

"Oh really? Katie, do you know this guy? Cause he sure as hell is getting on my nerves!" "You better leave now. Like I said before, leave her alone." "Sam. Come on. L-l-lets go." "You're not going anywhere, baby." Mason said. He grabbed my arm again but Sam was fed up this time. Sam punched him right in the nose and knee'd him in the stomach. "Come on, Katie! Let's go. NOW."
