Yesterday was the day I ran away from them. And when I say  them, I mean Edward, Jacob, and Bella. But I miss Jacob the most.
The space between us breaks my heart. Every minute he isn't next to me. And I've been distant from everybody. Even from my own mother. I did this to myself. I should be able to take it, but I can't.
I'm busy reading a book in the large living room when my mom says, "Why are you doing this, Tessa?"
I look up. "Doing what?"
"Distancing yourself from everybody," my mom whispers, on the verge of tears.
I sigh. "Mom, just don't cry. Please. I didn't plan on hurting you."
"Well, you did," she says, stern and motherly again. "Charlie and Bella Swan are practically family now. I love Charlie very much. And Bella's such a sweet girl."
I frown. "I know."
"Don't you miss her at all?" my mom asks, frustrated.
"I miss Jacob Black, too," I admit.
"Then why are you ignoring everybody?"
"With Bella, Edward, and Jacob there is a. . .conflict," I say slowly, putting my book down. "I don't want to be a bother to them. And Jacob's in love with me."
"Isn't it every girl's dream to be loved by somebody?" My mom's voice is sarcastic now.
I glare at her. "But I don't want things to go too fast."
My mom sighs. "You're just like your father sometimes. Anyways, you have a letter in your bedroom."
Nodding, I quickly get up and dash up to my room, tearing open the envelope I see on my bed. It's a letter from Jacob.
Tessa,
I miss you. Why are you giving us the silent treatment? I imprinted on you. It's my job to know what what's wrong with you, but I can't help you if I don't know what's wrong. Come to my house tonight.
Jacob
Sighing, I realize that I really have no other choice. I have to go see him. If he really wants to know what's wrong, then I'll him. I'll tell him everything.
