After my wrist gets wrapped up in a bandage, Jacob turns, ready to talk. He looks so mad, and I can't help but feel a little guilty.
He takes me by surprise when he grabs me by the hips, slamming me into his body. One of his hands are on my waist while the other one roams my back, pressing me close to him. He whispers harshly and angrily, "What. The. Hell. You're cutting yourself?!" He gives a humorless laugh. "Oh, you're so going to regret this, Tessa. You aren't allowed to leave my side for a single second. Hell, you're even going to have to go to the bathroom with me standing next to you." I gulp. "Now put the blade now, Kitten."
I do as I'm told, noticing how Jacob's body is shaking in uncontrollable fury. I step back, well I try to, but it feels like I'm glued to him.
"Leave," I whisper.
"I'm not going anywhere!"
"You're right. You're my overprotective boyfriend. You wouldn't leave me even if I threatened to call the cops."
All of a sudden, I'm picked up bridal style. Jacob angrily stalks into my bedroom and locks the door. Slamming me on the wall, he yells, "Don't you ever go near a blade again! I thought I told you over a million times that I don't want to lose you! You're mine! Don't you ever try to cut yourself, because, Kitten," he leans closer, nuzzling my neck. "I would be able to sense it every. Single. Time."
And with that, a searing, sharp pain shoots through my neck. I try to pull away from the pain, but then I notice Jacob's face is still nuzzled into my neck. Where the pain is.
He's biting me!
I scream, but only for a second, because he covers my mouth with one of his hands without looking up.
After a few minutes of pure torture, Jacob lifts his head, which causes a new wave of pain from his teeth moving. He looks up at me with his bloodstained face. My voice is weak and fragile as I say, "You bit me."
His eyes widen at my reaction. I go for the door, nearly falling from the weakness of my body.
"Kitten!" He lunges for me, but I'm already on the ground. I giggle. Then everything turns black.
