     Allison walked out of her room and into the kitchen, where I was making breakfast. "You look better. How do you feel?" I asked her. "Much better." she replied. I set a plate of pancakes in front of her. "Eat up." I said. "Bake sale today."

     We were sitting behind the table of baked goods when I saw a certain someone and his mother walking toward the table. Mrs. Smith made it first and handed me the container of cookies. "Thank you so much!" I said, setting the container down. "Oh my God! It's NateWantsToBattle!" Allison nearly screamed as Nathan approached the table. He smiled a goofy grin hearing a fan yell his channel name. "Can I get a picture with you?' Alli asked him, pulling her phone out of her back pocket. "Of coarse!" nathan replied. "Mom, can you take a picture?" Alli asked, handing me her phone and running to stand next to Nathan. I took a picture and handed her back her phone.

     "Hon, can you go to the car and get some money and buy some of that cake down there?" I asked Allison. She nodded. "Sure thing, Mom!" she walked off toward the car. "Will I be seeing you tonight?" Nathan asked me. "I don't know. It's difficult to get a babysitter on such short notice." I said, making up an excuse not to go. "I can watch her." Mrs. Smith piped up next to me. I sighed. "Okay fine. What time?" I asked Nathan, now slightly annoyed. "Eight."

~~~~
     "It's seven thirty-nine, Mrs. Smith is here. Okay, I gotta go, be good." I told Allison, kissing the top of her head. I walked out of the apartment and got into my car. I drove to the park and got out. I walked down the dimly lit path and found the tree with the ladder. I climbed up the ladder to find Nathan sitting on one of the branches. I sat on the branch across from him.
     "What took you so long?" he asked. "I haven't been here in years, had a heard time finding it again." I replied. He nodded. "You wanted to talk?" I asked. He nodded again. "I wanted to apologize for the way things happened."
     "Apology understood but not accepted." I said. "Rather childish, don't ya think?" he asked. I scoffed. "You have the nerve to call me childish? The man who plays video games for a living. What you did was childish! Telling me the day of that you are moving to California! What did you think? It would hurt me less? It hurt, Nathan. Because the love of my life left me to persue fame!" I nearly yelled. He looked taken aback by my sudden anger.
     After a while, the conversation calmed down and we ended up talking about other things. "I found out Thursday that my daughter watches you." I said. " I think I got that from earlier today." he chuckled. "How old is she?" he asked. I hesitated a second. "She's nine." I replied. He looked confused for a moment. "She's not mine is she?" he asked. I shook me head. "No." I lied.
     He let out a small sigh of relief and as did I. "Wait, did you cheat on me?" he asked, a hint of anger in his voice. I sighed and nodded my head. "Yeah." I lied once more.
     He put his head in his hands. "I can't believe you got pregnant with someone else's child while we were still together." he looked up at me. "Who was it?" he asked. "Daniel Cameron." I lied again. "Are you kidding me?" he climbed down the ladder. "Nathan, please! I'm sorry!" I yelled, climbing down after him. "Save it, Maelynn." he said, walking off into the darkness of the chilly, September night, running his hands through his hair.
