Chapter Seventeen: Christmas Day

     I got up and went to the kitchen. Nate was already up and making breakfast. I smiled looking at what he was cooking. Pancakes with red and green sprinkles, bacon and sausage. "Where did you get the bacon and sausage?" I asked. "Went out to the store this morning before you woke up." he replied. "How much was it? I'll pay you back." I said, grabbing my wallet. "No, put it away." he said. I put the wallet down. "But-" he cut me off. "No buts. Breakfast is ready, go get Allison." he said. "Bossy." i said and ran away, knowing I had made a mistake as he chased me around the living room. He caught me by the waist and pulled me to the ground, tickling me mercilessly. "Take it back!" he said, continuing to tickle me. "No!" I said in between laughing and gasping for air.
     A minute later he stopped tickling me but was still on top of me so I couldn't move. "Are you gonna take it back?" he asked. I took a deep breath, "Never." "Okay, have it your way." he said, starting to tickle me again. "What are you losers doing?" Allison asked from the hallway. We stopped and he got up, helping me up. "I insulted him, so he got revenge." I said. "And you, kiddo, just insulted both of us." Nate continued.
     Allison's eyes widened and she turned and ran into her room, closing the door. We ran after her and went into her room. We caught her and started tickling her. She laughed. After a few minute we stopped. "Breakfast is gonna get cold." I said, getting up. "What's for breakfast?" Allison asked. "Nate made our favorite." I replied and we all went to the kitchen. We got our food and ate.

     After breakfast was done and we cleaned up we went out into the living room and sat by the tree. We opened presents and Allison had so many. I only gave her about half of what she got. Nate got her the other half. I got Nate a few presents and he got me some. She hugged us and thanked us. "I gott you an even better present, but it's at my house." Nate said. "Both of you go get dressed and we'll go."
     We nodded and Allison ran to her room. "I have to do something on the way." I said. He nodded.

     I stepped out of the car and walked through the grass. I set the three sets of flowers down on the graves. "Merry Christmas." I said and walked back to the car. I got back in and we drove to Nate's house.
     We walked inside and were greeted by a lot of Nate's relatives. I gave them all their presents and went to the kitchen and got somme sweet tea. "I'm gonna take her upstairs." Nate told me. I smiled and nodded, knowing how excited she is gonna be.

     Hours passed and they were still upstairs. I was talking to Nate's family. "So are you guys together again?" his Aunt asked. I shook my head. "No but we're friends." I said. "Oh." she said, sounding slightly disappointed at us not being together. We just talked for a while longer about other things and other people.
     A while later Allison came running down the stairs, Nate close behind. She hid behind me. "How on earth did you beat all of the FNaF games in one go?!" he asked. "He let me be in a video and I beat him at four games." Allison told me. "Well kiddo, it should be up tomorrow." Nate said.
     "Dinner time!" Nate's mom called from the kitchen.

     "Are you sure you have to leave tonight?" I asked. He nodded. "Gonna get there and start packing her stuff so she can get out of my apartment." I nodded and hugged him. "Don't be a stranger." I said. "I'll be back for another holiday." he said and hugged Allison.
     We watched as he disappeared onto the plane and we headed home.
