"You're going tonight and that's that." I told Allison. She pouted and Nate laughed at her. "You too, Mister!" he pouted. "You, go home and get ready and see you parents. As for you, Missy, let's go." I told each of them what to do. Nate got up and hugged me before walking out the door. 'Come on, let's go. I'm gonna do your hair." I said. She reluctantly got up and followed me to the bathroom. I curled her hair and then sent her to do her own thing.
I curled my own hair and did my makeup and went back to my room. I got into my dress and slipped on my heels. I looked in the mirror and smiled. I then heard my phone vibrate and took it out of my bag.
From: Nate
Hey, when you guys get here we are at the table in the back.
I replied,
Alright, save me a dance?
Totally :)
I put my phone back in my bag annd walked out of my room. I knocked on Allison's door and she came out, "I still don't like this." she pouted. "Keep pouting and I will tell Nate not to give you your present." her expression instantly changed. "Let's go."

We walked thru the doors of the town hall. Loud music was playing and we looked around for Nate and his parents. He spotted us first and walked over to us. "You look amazing." he said, causing me to blush. I smiled, "Thank you." I replied. He looked down at Allison. "You look gorgeous as well." he told her. She smiled, "Thanks." she replied, now also blushing. "Okay, we are sitting over here." he said, leading us to the table. Mr. and Mrs. Smith were sitting there and they smiled at us. We sat down and just chatted for a while.
I sat in between Nate and Mrs. Smith, Allison sat on the other side of Nate. Mr. Smith and Nate's brother both sat on the other side of Mrs. Smith. "Would you like to dance?" I heard Nate ask Allison. She smiled and nodded. Nate turned back to look at me. "You mind?" he asked. "Go ahead." I encouraged. They got up from the table and went to dance. He is so good with her, I thought, watching them dance. I smiled.
"He would have been a good father." Mrs. Smith said, also watching them dance. I nodded, crossing my arms over my chest, "Yeah, he would have." I said leaning back in my chair.

They came back to the table and Nate whispered something in her ear. She glanced at me with just her eyes, giggled and nodded. He nodded, confirming whatever they were planning and she nodded back. He got up and came over to me and held out his hand to me. "Would you like to dance?" he asked. I looked between him and Allison and nodded. He took my hand and led me to the middle of the floor. "You still wear that?" he asked seeing the ring on my finger. "Yeah, just cause you gave it to me and broke a promise doesn't mean I can't wear a pretty ring." I said as we danced. He nodded.
"Thank you." I said as we danced. "For what?" he asked. "Just thank you."
