"Mae, Nathan is here!" Kristen yelled up the stairs. "Okay!" I yelled back. I took one quick glance in the mirror before carefully walking down the stairs. Nate stood by the front door talking to Uncle David and just as I reached the bottom of the stairs they both turned to look at me. Nate smiled and took a step forward. David stopped him and whispered something to him. "Never, wouldn't dreaam of it, sir." was Nate's reply. David smiled and Nate stood in front of me. I kissed his lips and heard David clear his throat. I giggled and kissed David's cheek. "We're leaving now." I said. "Have heer home by midnight." David told Nate. "Will do, sir." he said.
We stepped out of the house and got into Nate's car. "I'm sorry about him." I apologized. "It's fine. He's just being protective." he replied. We drove down the street and pulled into the parking lot. "I thought you said dinner?" I asked, looking around. "We are." he replied, opening my door and helping me out. "But this is the park." I said as he grabbed my hand and led me down the path. We came to a tree, there was a picnic blanket laid on the ground with a basket laying on it. In the branches above the blanket there were lanterns hanging. I smiled and looked at Nate. "You did this?" I asked him. He returned the smile. "Yep, with a little help from some others." he replied.
We sat down on the blanket and ate the food that was in the basket. Once we were finished he laid down and I laid with my head on his chest as we looked up at the stars.

I sat up and looked around the living room. I stood up from the couch and walked into the kitchen. There was no on there, only a note.

          Mae,
Went to the studio for a while, be home later.
          Love you,
                          Nate.

I sighed and grabbed a soda from the fridge. I took a sip of the soda as I heard the front door open. "Mae?" Nate called. I walked out of the kitchen and Nate was standing there with chocolates in one hand and starbucks in the other. I smiled and kissed him. He handed me the chocolates and coffe. "Thank you." I said, taking a sip of the coffee. "Happy Valentine's day." he replied. I kissed his lips again. "Thank you hon." I sat down on the couch and turned on Black Butler. I ate a piece of dark chocolate as Nate sat next to me. "Can I have one?" he asked. I held the box out to him and he reached for a piece of dark chocolate so I smacked his hand. "Milk or white, not my dark chocolate." he chuckled and took a milk chocolate.

Hours passed and we finished another episode of Black Butler. Nate looked at his phone and then tucked it back into his pocket. "I'm gonna go pick up Allison." he said, kissing my forehead and getting up from the couch. I nodded and started another episode as he walked out the door. I then got up from the couch and walked into the kitchen to start dinner. I put a pot of water on the stove and went back to mine and Nate's room to grab my laptop. I set my laptop on the counter. I put the noodles in the pot and grabbed another pot and started making the sauce.
Once it was all done, I mixed the noodles and sauce into one pot. I then took some plates and silverware and set the table. Just as I finished doing this the front door opened. I looked toward the door and saw Nate, Allison and Brett. "Wash up, dinner's ready." I told them. They all nodded and went to wash up. Once they were finished they came and sat down.

We ate and then Nate and I started cleaning up. We were in the kitchen, me doing the dishes and him drying them when I took a handful of suds and blew them at him, laughing. He laughed and did the same thing to me.
After a while of this we finished clleaning the dishes and went back out to the living room and watched movies.

Six hours and three movies later Allison went to bed and Brett was in the office, leaving Nate and I alone in the living room. I turned off the tv and looked at Nate. "What do you wanna do?" I asked, bored. He shrugged and then grabbed my hand. He led me to the kitchen and made two cups of tea and then we walked to the living room window. He opened the window and climbed out. He helped me out the window and onto the fire escape. We sat down and I took a sip of my tea, looking up at the night sky.
"There's barely any stars." I said, sadly. "It's L.A." he replied. I laughed a little, leaning my head on his shoulder. "Yeah, I guess it is."
