A/N: Back to Maelynn's point of view!
I woke up and went into my bathroom. I brushed my teeth and put my hair into a messy bun before walking to the kitchen. I passed Nate, who was still asleep on the couch. Good, he needed sleep, I thought to myself. I walked into the kitchen and started making breakfast.
After about fifteen minutes Nate walked into the kitchen and looked around. "That was the best sleep I have had in months." he said. I smiled and examined his face and chest. "Good. You look better, the bruises are fading." I said. He looked down at his bare chest. "Guess so." he said. "I made coffee, cups are up there." I said, pointing to the cabinet where the cups are. He walked over and made himself a cup of coffee.
I finished making breakfast and we sat down and ate. Once we finished, he grabbed the dishes and stood up. "I got it." I said, also standing. "No, you've already done so much for me, the least I can do is a few dishes." he insisted. I nodded and he walked into the kitchen.~~~~
We pulled up in front of the house and my eyes instantly spotted the car. "Where are your parents?" I asked Nate. "They went to Pittsburgh for a few days. Should be home tomorrow." he replied. "We are getting your stuff and you're coming back to my apartment." he nodded. We got out of the car and walked into the house. He leads me up the stairs and as we near the top I hear loud moaning coming from the room at the end of the hall.
We walked quietly down the halll and he opened the door. The two people in the room stopped and looked over at us. "Mae, it's not what it looks like." Daniel said. "What is it then?" I asked. The room grew silent. "Get out, I don't want you in my house." Nate said to Morgan. They made themselves descent and got up from the bed. "Out." Nate said again. Morgan raised her hand to hit him and I quickly stepped in front of him and caught her hand. I yanked her to the door and shoved her out. She fell face first into the floor. Nate handed me her suitcase and I threw it out the door as well before closing the door. "Never touch him again." I growled before slamming the door in her dumbfounded face.
I turned to Daniel. "And you, I want you to walk out that door and once you do, you will forget my name, address, number and face and my daughter's," I said calmly, "Because Lord knows, I have already forgotten yours." He nodded and walked past me and out the door, closing it behind him. I took a deep breath and walked to the window. I watched them get into Daniel's car. Once they drove off I turned around and cried into Nate's chest. He wrapped his arms around me and tried to calm me down. "How could I have been so stupid." I cried. "You're not stupid." he replied.
I calmed down and wiped my eyes. "I'm sorry I got your shirt wet." I said. He chuckled, grabbing his suitcase, "It'll dry." he said as we went out to the car and drove to pick up Allison.
