"Are you really sure this is a good idea? I mean. You will be surrounded by cops." Sara smirked. Cold laughed. "Oh come on. I am sure it will be fine. Plus. I think I am starting to get on your dad's good graces." He smirked back. Sara shook her head. "Okay. If you really want to. I mean. We could have gone to somewhere for our own Christmas vacation. And here you want to spend time with my dad and the flarrow team." Leonard raises his eye slightly. "Flarrow? Cisco must have rubbed off on you. Now look who's giving the nicknames." Sara laughed. "We should probably get going to my dad's. Are you ready?" Leonard smiled. "I am as ready as I will be." Sara looked at him curiously. He looked quite nervous.
Leonard followed Sara out of the apartment and to the car. Once they made their way to her house, her dad answered the door giving them a smile. "Hey baby girl." He said pulling her in for a hug. "Hey dad." She said quietly. After he let go of Sara he extended his hand to shake Leonard's. "Snart." Leonard extended his hand to accept Quentin's handshake. "Mr. Lance." Quentin rolled his eyes a little. "You know I think we have known each other long enough where you can call me Quentin." Leonard gave a small shrug as he stepped into the house and Quentin closed the door.
"Sara! It's so good to see you again!" Sara turned to see Donna coming from the bedroom after getting ready. Sara smiled giving Donna a hug in return. "Hey. How are you Donna?" Donna pulled back slightly to look at Sara. "Oh. I have been doing fine." Leonard glances over at Sara and Donna smiling as he follows Quentin in the living room to visit.
"Do you have everything ready?" Quentin asked quietly in case Sara was on her way. Leonard took a deep breath. "I think so." He pats his jacket pocket and pulls out the small black box. "When will the others be arriving?" He heard Sara ask as she and Donna made her way into the living room. Leonard quickly put the box back in his pocket. "The Star labs gang will be here within the hour. Caitlin texted. Oliver, Felicity, Thea and Lyla should be here within the next few minutes or so." Sara nods. "How has Lyla been?" "She has been doing okay. She said John will get to come home in a couple of months." Quentin replied.
Once everyone was there and settled, Leonard stood up to speak before the dinner was served. Sara raises her eye slightly looking at him curiously. He turns slightly to face Sara and gives her a smile. "I was hoping there was something I would be able to ask you." Sara looked at him waiting for him to continue. She looked just as surprised as the rest of the guests as he pulled out the box with a diamond ring. Of course except for Lance and Donna, as Leonard had gone to ask for Quentin's permission. Unfortunately Donna was able to figure it out, but surprisingly she had been able to keep it a secret the past two months.
"I know we haven't spent a whole lot of time together. But given past circumstances, I have learned that life can be short. And I don't want to have anything else that I regret. You have changed my life, and now I am hoping I get a chance to change yours." He grabs the black box out of his pocket opening it to reveal a diamond ring, "Sara Lance. Would you do me the honors of becoming my wife?" Sara watched him quietly as he finished his speech, and watched as he pulled the diamond ring out of his pocket. She gave a smile as she glanced up at him hearing the question. "Yes Leonard. I would love to marry you." She said quietly almost making the others strain to hear her answer. Leonard smiled in return and took the ring out of the box, slipping it onto Sara's finger. He slowly pulled her up close to him wrapping his arms around her. "I love you Sara Lance." He whispered. She wrapped her arms around his neck looking at him in return. "I love you too Leonard." He leaned in giving her a quick kiss.
Once dinner was finished, the group had decided to head into the living room to wait for to open up their Christmas gifts. Sara made her way over to the couch and sat next to Leonard. He wrapped his one arm around her as she sat next to him, watching as they all took turns opening the gifts.
