Part 4: The Day Together and The Explanation

Regular POV

"What did you want to show me?" Purple Fluorite asked, confused on why Amethyst rushed her into her room.

"How to act normal around Pearl! It was so obvious that you have a crush on her but you're lucky she didn't realize." Amethyst said, laughing a bit. "Maybe you should spend some time with her! Then you could actually act normal around her."

"I can't spend time with her. She doesn't like me because she doesn't trust me. I don't think she would be keen to hang out with someone she doesn't trust alone." Purple Fluorite said, sighing.

"I didn't say you had to hang out with her alone." Amethyst said, smiling. "How about this? You hang out with Pearl and Steven. You'll make Steven happy by you hanging out with him and then you'll get to hang with Pearl, making her trust you some and making you happy." Amethyst explained, smiling.

"That's a really good idea but how do I get Pearl to come along?" Purple Fluorite asked.

"Just mention to Steven that it would be even more fun if Pearl came along. Pearl usually hangs out with Steven if he wants to." Amethyst said, smiling. "Now let's go put this plan into action!"

Pearl, Purple Fluorite, and Steven were now walking towards Funland arcade. Pearl kept giving Purple Fluorite a look of mistrust. Purple Fluorite just blushed.

"Let's all go play some games! I think Purple Fluorite would like skee ball! Let's go!" Steven said, pulling Purple Fluorite along.

"Why does everyone pull and push me around? I can walk on my own!" She thought, sighing.

"Here we are! Now all you do is take these balls, roll them up the ramp, and see if you can make it into one of the holes! The middle hole is worth the most points so you want to aim for that hole." Steven explained, smiling excitedly.

"Okay..." Purple Fluorite muttered, taking a ball.

She stared at the holes for a couple seconds before quickly rolling the ball up the ramp and making it just come back in the ball return.

"Dangit..." She sighed.

"Don't worry! Just try again! I'm sure you'll get it! In the meantime, I'm gonna go play whacker man junior!" Steven said, running off and leaving Pearl and Purple Fluorite alone.

Purple Fluorite got nervous and just kept trying to score some points in skee ball. She could feel Pearl glaring at her.

"Is there anyway I can make you trust me more...?" Purple Fluorite whispered to herself.

"Tell me why you're on Earth. Why were you running from Homeworld?" Pearl answered, crossing her arms.

Purple Fluorite sighed and started to explain.

"I was going to be smashed. As far as I know I'm the only Purple Fluorite left. We were all being smashed because we were made to be warriors but refused to fight. We all hated to inflict pain on others. My diamond, Yellow Diamond, got mad at all of the Purple Fluorite's that were assigned to her and ordered us to be poofed and smashed. I was in line, about to be poofed, and decided to run away. I managed to escape all the guards and got off of homeworld. I just ended up here and I was gonna live on the island I landed on." Purple Fluorite explained, shaking some as she talked.

She then felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up and saw Pearl looking at her with some sympathy.

"That had to be scary but you are very brave for doing that. I'm sorry that I threatened you, you had already been through so much already. I hope you can forgive me." Pearl said.

"I do forgive you. Another thing about me is that I don't hold grudges. I hate conflict. But now that I have told you why I'm here, do you trust me?" Purple Fluorite asked, tilting her head.

"Not fully but, I trust you some." Pearl said, smiling.

Steven then came running up to them.

"Hey we should go home now. The sun's starting to set and I wanna show Purple Fluorite the view!" Steven said, happily smiling.

"Alright Steven." Pearl said, smiling back.

Purple Fluorite also smiled while they headed back towards the beach.

They soon arrived and Purple Fluorite was amazed by the site. The water was sparkling from the suns reflection and the sky was orange, pink, and yellow all over the place.

"Wow..." She muttered, walking towards it and getting her feet wet.

"Amazing, isn't it?" Pearl said, next to her.

Purple Fluorite jumped a bit, getting out of her trance, and blushed.

"It really is... I've never seen anything like this before." She said, smiling warmly and looking content.

They stood there and just stared at the view till the sun set and the stars came out.
