Part 8: The Realization and The Plan

((Hey guys! Before I begin, I just wanted to say I'm sorry for not uploading yesterday. I had a headache and was extremely tired. To make up for it, I'll upload two chapters today. Enjoy!))

"So Pearl found out that you liked her and rejected you because she's still not over Rose?" Amethyst summarized, sighing. "That sucks. I would think Pearl would be over Rose but I guess not."

"I-I feel like I trusted Pearl with my gem and she just shattered it..." Purple Fluorite said, crying.

"Hey, forget Pearl! She doesn't know what she's missing. You're sweet, kind, pretty, and awesome! Pearl is really stupid for rejecting you!" Amethyst said, trying to cheer her up and kinda saying the things she liked about her.

"Heh... thanks Amethyst. That means a lot. You're a really good friend." Purple Fluorite said, hugging Amethyst.

Amethyst was a little hurt by the term "friend" but just shook it off. She hugged her back and smiled.

"What are friends for?" Amethyst replied.

"I'm gonna go hang out with Steven. You can join if you want to. We'll be playing checkers with water balloons!" Purple Fluorite said, smiling excitedly.

"Maybe later. Go have fun!" Amethyst said, still smiling.

"Alright, bye!" Purple Fluorite said as she left.

As soon as she left, Amethyst sighed.

"Now that Pearl is out, I need to plan on how to make her want to be with me." Amethyst said, starting to make a plan.

It's been 3 weeks since the whole incident between Pearl and Purple Fluorite happened.

Purple Fluorite wouldn't go near Pearl now and mainly hung out with Steven or Amethyst. Occasionally, Garnet.

Pearl felt bad about rejecting her and wished to be able to talk with her again. She had thought about how she still missed Rose and decided she needed to try and get over her. She also actually missed Purple Fluorite getting flustered and blushing around her and wanted it back.

But she didn't realize that she needed to put up a fight for Purple Fluorite.

Amethyst was currently walking up to Purple Fluorite, who was currently on the beach and sitting by the water. She had worked up the courage to ask her out on a date and then confess to her.

"H-Hey Purple Fluorite. Got a minute?" Amethyst asked, nervously.

"Yeah! Whatcha need?" Purple Fluorite asked, smiling.

"W-Well I was wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner with me?" Amethyst asked, hoping she said yes.

"Sure! I'll go get ready!" She said, smiling and getting up.

Purple Fluorite went towards the house while Amethyst quietly celebrated.

When Purple Fluorite reached the house and went inside, her and Pearl locked eyes. Purple Fluorite tried to just walk away, but Pearl had other plans.

"Wait! Purple Fluorite, can I talk to you for a moment?" Pearl asked.

"..Sure, but make it fast, please." Purple Fluorite replied.

They went and sat down on the couch, facing each other. Purple Fluorite had her arms crossed.

"Well I wanted to talk to you about our last conversation. I'm very sorry that I hurt your feelings. I just want things to go back the way they were. Maybe just a little different. What I'm trying to say-" Pearl said, but was interrupted.

"I know what you're saying Pearl. You want things to go back to they were but you want to be just friends. I get it but I don't know if I can be just friends with you. Anyways, I need to go get ready. Amethyst is taking me out for dinner." Purple Fluorite said, then got up and left to get ready.

"She's going to dinner with Amethyst...? Does Amethyst like her...? Is she gonna ask her out?!" Pearl said, getting upset and going to her room.

Amethyst and Purple Fluorite were walking towards a restaurant and chatting as they walked.

"Hey, have I mentioned you look really good?" Amethyst said, smiling.

"Yes! This is about the tenth time you've mentioned it." Purple Fluorite said, giggling. "And I will say thank you again."

"Sorry but you do look awesome. I didn't know you could look any better than you already did." Amethyst said, flirting.

"All I did was put my hair up and put on some shoes!" Purple Fluorite said, laughing.

"Well you look good with your hair up. I would compliment your shoes too, but I can't see them cause your dress covers them." Amethyst said, chuckling.

They finally arrived at the restaurant and got seated, starting their dinner and Amethyst's plan.
