Part 11: The Fight and The Blame

((Hey guys before I begin, I want to apologize for not updating for awhile. I was on vacation and after that I had writers block. I've also been flipping out over the Summer of Steven event. I'm gonna try and keep myself from doing this again but if I do this again, yell at me XD Anyways! Off to the chapter!))

Regular POV

"Pearl"

Pearl and Amethyst were both shocked for a few seconds, not reacting at all. Purple Fluorite was a little nervous by the lack of reactions.

Then all of a sudden, Pearl smiled and hugged Purple Fluorite tightly.

Amethyst turned away, saddened and trying not to cry.

Purple Fluorite was hugging Pearl but saw Amethyst and felt bad. She watched as Amethyst got up and went to her room. Purple Fluorite zoned out afterwards and then snapped back when she heard Pearl.

"Purple Fluorite!" Pearl said, waving a hand in her face.

"Ah! Oh... Sorry Pearl. Did you say something?" Purple Fluorite asked.

"I asked if you were alright. You seem upset." Pearl said, looking worried. "I thought you would be happy right now..."

"I am happy. But I'm also sad." Purple Fluorite said, sighing. "I'm glad I finally made a decision and I'm with the gem I love but I've hurt another gem by being with you. I feel bad for hurting Amethyst." She explained. "This is a bitter-sweet moment."

"I see... Maybe go and talk with Amethyst. Try to make her feel better." Pearl suggested.

"Okay..." Purple Fluorite said, heading over to the door. "Um... how am I supposed to get in...?"

"Oh! You can go down the water in my room! It'll lead right into Amethyst's room." Pearl said, making the door to her room open.

"Thanks Pearl." Purple Fluorite said, smiling and quickly kissing Pearls cheek and running into the room.

Pearl blushed and smiled as she watched Purple Fluorite run into the room and the door shutting behind her.

Purple Fluorite smiled and started to go down the waterfall and looked around. She saw that she was already in Amethysts room and just needed to reach the ground.

She quickly made it down and then started looking around.

"This place seems even messier than last time. But that's Amethyst, she loves her messes." She said, chuckling.

She then stopped chuckling and heard crying. She turned the corner and saw Amethyst, crying on her bed.

"Amethyst...?" Purple Fluorite said, looking worried and feeling bad.

Amethyst quickly looked up and saw Purple Fluorite standing in front of her. She quickly dried her tears and looked down with her hair blocking her eyes.

"What do you want...? I thought you would be out frolicking with Pearl..." She said, sounding belligerent.

"I want to help you. Yes I chose Pearl but it was so hard to choose. And it kills me to know that you're hurting." Purple Fluorite said, looking sad.

"Then why didn't you choose me?! Why did you choose her?!" Amethyst yelled, angrily while tears streamed her face. "Am I not good enough?!"

"Amethyst! You are good enough! Trust me, I wish I could've chosen you both!" Purple Fluorite said, tears starting to drip down her face.

Amethyst was about to say something when they heard something coming towards them. They both looked around until a black tentacle thing wrapped around Purple Fluorite's waist and started to pull her back.

"A-Amethyst! H-Help!" Purple Fluorite shrieked, scared.

"Slinker! It's back!" Amethyst said, getting out her whip.

Amethyst cracked it at the tentacle and made it let go of Purple Fluorite.

Purple Fluorite quickly dropped to the ground and was panting. But then she quickly scream and another tentacle wrapped around her and started to squeeze her tightly.

"Purple Fluorite!" Amethyst went to help her, but all of a sudden there was Purple smoke around them and Purple Fluorite's gem laid on the ground.

The Slinker disappeared and Amethyst quickly picked up the gem.

"No... no no no no!" Amethyst repeated, shaking her head.

Pearl then all of a sudden came down and went over to Amethyst.

"Is everything alright?! I heard scre-" Pearl started, but stopped when she saw Purple Fluorite's gem. Pearl then looked angry. "What did you do..? She said, lowly.

"W-Wait! It's not what it looks like! T-The S-Slinker! It did this!" Amethyst said, scared.

"Lies! The Slinker hasn't done anything for months! Give me her!" Pearl yelled, taking the gem from Amethyst and cradled it in her arms. "I can't believe you did this! Just because she chose me over you! Wait till Garnet hears about this!"

"But-!" Amethyst tried to say but Pearl already left.

Amethyst got angry and started searching for the Slinker.

"I'm getting my revenge..."
