Part 13: The New Couple and The Date

Regular POV

The party just ended and everyone went inside, except Pearl and Purple Fluorite. The sun was currently setting and they were slow dancing with each other. The music was playing softly and the sun light hit them both perfectly, like a spotlight was on them.

They were both smiling and staring into each other's eyes, not even noticing that the party was over and everyone had gone inside. They were in their own perfect world.

"So..." Purple Fluorite softly said, breaking the silence. "What have you planned for us to make up the time I was gone?"

Pearl chuckled and smiled happily.

"You'll have to wait and find out." Pearl said, just as soft.

"Oh come on. I can't have a hint?"

"Nope. I want to surprise you."

"Could I persuade you at all?"

"I won't budge."

"Fine... I'll be patient." Purple Fluorite said, giving a small smile. "Can't blame me for being curious though."

"Pearl and Purple Fluorite. You need to come inside, it's dark out." Garnet interrupted, making both of them jump some.

They then looked around and noticed that night had fallen. The moon was out and shining alongside the stars, lighting up the dark sky. They then both giggled some.

"I hadn't even noticed. I thought the party was still going on." Purple Fluorite said, giggling.

"Well, time flies when you're having fun." Pearl responded, smiling.

"Come on you two." Garnet said, sounding a little annoyed.

"We're coming." Purple Fluorite said, holding Pearls hand and walking towards the house.

Pearl followed along, holding Purple Fluorite's hand tightly. They went inside with Garnet trailing along.

Garnet then passed them and went to the temple door, opening up her room. She went inside and made the door closed behind her.

Pearl then went to the door, Purple Fluorite following and still holding hands with Pearl, and opened her door. They both went inside and the door closed behind them.

They let go of each other's hands and decides to do other things to pass the time.

Purple Fluorite went to meditate and Pearl tried to go watch Steven sleep. She unfortunately got caught and went back in the room, deciding to practice her swordsman skills.

The next morning, Purple Fluorite was still meditating but was brought out of it when she felt something touch her leg. She opened her eyes and saw Pearl.

"Hello my beautiful Pearl, how are you?" Purple Fluorite asked, uncrossing her legs and letting her feet touch the floor.

Pearl giggled a bit and smiled. "I'm great. It's morning now and I was wondering if you wanted to take a walk on the beach?"

"I would like that." Purple Fluorite answered, smiling happily.

They held hands again and left Pearl's room, going outside. Purple Fluorite was then confused.

"Why is it still dark out?"

"Because the sun hasn't risen yet, I wanted to watch the sun rise with you." Pearl said, smiling but then looked worried. "Do you not want to?"

Purple Fluorite got a little flustered and quickly tried reassuring Pearl. "No! I do want to. It just took me by surprise is all. Let's watch the sun rise." Purple Fluorite smiled softly as she said the last sentence.

"Alright but we need to go to the perfect spot for watching the sunrise. That's why I originally asked if you wanted to walk, so we could walk to the spot." Pearl explained.

"Well we better get going to the spot if we wanna beat the sun." Purple Fluorite said, smiling.

They both started walking, fingers interlocked, and talking the entire way. They soon reached a cliff and went to the top. From the top, you could see all of Beach City. At the top of the cliff, there was a blanket with some pillows set up.

Purple Fluorite was so happy and had stars in her eyes. Pearl was nervous, hoping she liked it.

"Pearl... this look amazing..." Purple Fluorite said, a little at a loss for words.

Pearl felt a little relieved and smiled. "I'm glad you like it. Shall we sit and watch the sunrise?" Pearl asked, trying to be romantic.

"We shall." Purple Fluorite said, walking over to the blanket with Pearl.

They sat down and talked while waiting for the sun. They were soon interrupted by the sun starting to creep up into the sky.

They watched the sun come up slowly and cuddled with each other.

When the sun was almost fully out, Pearl decided to make her move.

Purple Fluorite was awestruck from the sight she was seeing and wasn't looking at Pearl. Pearl was looking at Purple Fluorite and smiled, lifting her hand up and putting it against Purple Fluorite's cheek, moving her head so Purple Fluorite was looking at her. Purple Fluorite was surprised by this and was blushing a bit at how close they were.

Pearl just smiled and then leaned in slowly. Purple Fluorite blushed more and leaned in as well. They both closed their eyes, waiting for the contact to happen. Then they felt it.

Their lips had met and were sharing their first kiss.
