Chapter Five- Baby Blues

"I'm .... I'm ... I'm pregnant " she said and let out a deep breath.

"Okay and you're telling me because? Need less hours ? A raise ?-"

"It's yours " she spit out .

Ben looked at with no emotion . What was he thinking ? Surely he wasn't going to pick her up and spin her around like they did in the movies.

"Say something" she said "please just say something !"

"It's not mine" he spat. "It's not mine Rey ... It's clearly someone else's and you're putting the blame on me and -"

"Ben I was a virgin ... You're the only person I've ever slept with " she told him and took a seat on the bench that sat on the pier .

"That's a lie ! What about Finn and Poe ?!"

"Gay ... Both of them ... Ben this is yours "

"It can't be -"

"Well it is ... And I thought you would want to know -"

"Get rid of it" he snapped .

"Ben ! I'm not gonna do that " she rubbed her shoulder with her hand . "This baby is coming"

"You're stupid you know that ! Why didn't you take a pill ? Or -"

"Why didn't you use a condom ? This is just as much my fault as yours ! And may I remind you , you kissed me !" She shouted .

"Well ... I was just looking for some fun in between girlfriends-"

"So I was just a booty call ? I gave you something so precious .... Something I can never get back again and you say you were just looking for a quick screw ?!" She yelled standing up .

"How was I suppose to know ?"

"You should have asked me if before you took my pants off Ben !" Rey scolded him.

"Well ... I don't want a part in this " he said

"Ben this is your child!" She shouted as he walked off .

"No Rey , it's yours I don't want this or you ! Do whatever the hell you want I don't want it or care about it!" he yelled and walked over to his car and slammed the door . He drove off quickly .

Rey had a lump in her throat and felt like she was gonna cry. She was 17, pregnant and no father to her child.

"Rey ? Why are you crying ?" She heard . She turned and saw Poe and Finn.

"I told the father " she said wiping her eyes .

"And ?" Poe asked sitting next to her .

"He doesn't want it ... And he said to do whatever the hell I want with it and that he doesn't want me or baby" she said .

"Who's the dad ?" Finn asked .

"I don't wanna say " she sighed .

"Rey please " Poe begged .

"Ben ... Ben Solo ...! The fluffy haired devil and the son of my boss ! Ben Solo!....I just wanna go home" she said .

"That might be best ... Let us know if we can do anything" Poe told her rubbing her shoulder.

Rey nodded and walked off. She drove home with tears in her eyes ... If she was gonna tell Her grandfather .

"Rey ... You're home early , everything okay?" He asked .

"Yeah ... They said I could go home ... Grandpa I have something I need to tell you "

"What is it ?" He asked not looking up from his laptop .

"This is serious " she said .

He closed his laptop . "What's wrong Rey ?"

"I'm gonna tell you something ... Promise me you won't get mad -"

"You didn't brake a law did you?" He asked .

"No ... I didn't ... Promise me "

"I promise " he said . Rey sat down next to him and grabbed his hand .

"Grandpa " she took a deep breath "I'm pregnant"

"Rey I -"

"This was me being stupid ... There was a boys and he kissed me ... Things went from there ... Yesterday Poe and Finn told me I looked pale and was green ... They then forced me to take a pregnancy test... It's positive ... And I took another one this morning" Rey told him .

"So you're having a baby?" He asked .

"I told the father and he doesn't want anything to do with it ... Nothing and well... I don't wanna to give this baby up ... And I'm not " she said .

"Rey what do you expect me to do ?"

"Support me ... Be there for me ... That's all ... You don't need to be happy or comfortable with this but please ... " Rey begged .

"What are we gonna tell your aunts and uncles ?"

"You can say that this was a teenage boy and teenage girl a little to drunk or whatever you want ... But I wanna keep it ..."

"Rey -"

" I know it will be hard ... I know it will be difficult... But I'm gonna do this the right way ... I'll raise it on my own... But grandpa I need you to allow me to do this"

"Of course Rey" he then hugged her .

"Thank you" she said .

"Who's the father Rey ?" He asked .

"Grandpa this isn't important... And you don't need to know ... "

"No ... Tell me now or else Rey"

"I'll tell you after I sleep" she then kissed his cheek and went upstairs to her room.

Rey grabbed her phone and texted Poe and Finn.

I told my grandpa ... He's okay with it ... Not happy but okay ... He said that I can keep it ... I'm not gonna hide it ... Don't let anyone know it's Ben's though ... I don't want that bastard anywhere near my baby.

She closed her phone and smiled at herself . Maybe it wasn't so bad .
