Chapter Nine- Loss of Words

Rey walked down the stairs . "Breakfast-"

"I'll be late !" She said .

"No ! You're eating for two so eat!" Her grandfather said .

She grabbed a piece of toast a took a sip of orange juice "happy?"

"A little bit.. I'll see you sweetheart " he then kissed her cheek. "Be careful today ... And you don't have to tell anyone because -"

"Goodbye" she said and then walked to her car. She drove down the street to see Finn already out there .

"Hey " he opened the car door and sat down.

"Hey"

"How was the whole ... Baby picture thing ?"

"Okay ... We fought but I'm not surprised ... I heard its heartbeat "

"Really?" Finn asked .

"Yeah ... It was crazy ! It was like thump thump thump ... It was so beautiful"

"Well I'm glad you find something beautiful... You know besides baking and Poe's dog "

"Whatever ... Did you see the photo I sent you?"

"Yeah it looks like a -"

"Small bean ?" She asked and he nodded "that's what I said ... I have another appointment in two weeks ... At six weeks to see how far I am see if everything is going good"

"Any names yet ? You and Ben like anything ?"

"Ugh " she signed "he won't even answer my texts let alone talk about names ... I'm one thousand percent sure he hates me"

"He can't hate you too much... You're having his baby"

"True" them Rey parked and they got out . She held her binder over her chest , which covered her stomach slightly . Even though she wasn't showing she didn't want anyone to assume things.

She saw Ben sitting on the hood of his car , his friends all around and his arm around another girl , this time a girl with dark red hair .

"You okay?" Finn asked .

"Huh ? Oh yeah ... I'm fine" she lied and walked to her locker. She got her English book out and then put her binder in so she could swap out her history with her science book.

Ben walked by , his arm around the girl and the girl looked at him dreamily .

Ben looked at her locker for a second , he saw her purple binder with a picture of the sonogram on it and other things , including a pie recipe.

Next thing he new his girl was pressing her lips against his . He kissed her back and saw slightly Rey talking with Finn .

Ben was at his locker , thinking about that thump he heard the days before from the baby.

He slammed his locker and saw a girl walk over to Rey . The girl was asking questions . The girl said something and then Rey slammed her locker and ran off to the bathroom.

About two minutes later she came back , and the girl was gone . It wasn't her fault she morning sickness .

By lunch it was a rumor that Rey was pregnant , and the fact that she had s sonogram photo in her binder didn't help . But surprisingly she didn't say anything about Ben being the father , which was a huge blessing.

He wondered why Poe and Finn didn't seem faded to be hanging out with the pregnant girl . Then he realized that they were gay and had been the subject of many rumors .
