*I absolutely love that picture! Bucky's Howling Commandos uniform is my absolute favorite outfit that he has ever worn in the movies!*

After you had gotten off of the phone with Fury earlier that morning, you went into James' room to pack a couple bags for him. You knew that you would need his diaper bag, a bag with extra clothes just incase, and a bag of toys. After getting everything packed, you put his bags by the door. You then went to your and Bucky's room to pack a small bag for yourself. You also packed a couple things for Bucky including a change of clothes and his razor.
After double checking that everything was next to the front door, you went over to James. You didn't want him to get upset about the situation, so you tried to just mention the things that he would find positive.
"Hey, Jamesy. Guess what?"
"Wha?"
"Mister Tony is on his way to get us right now. He is going to take you and me to see mister Fury, and Thor, and Clint, and Auntie Nat!" James gave you a wide grin.
"Yay!!!" You were relieved. He was happy, and that was all that mattered.
A few minutes passed, during which you and James picked up the blocks. Then Tony arrived. He knocked on the door, and you answered it.
"Hey." he said.
"Hello, Tony. Thank you for picking us up."
"No problem. Ready to go?" You nodded your head and pointed to the bags.
"Can you help me carry these to your car?" He sighed but nodded his head. You handed Redwing to James and told him not to drop him. He held the stuffed hawk up to his chest in a tight hug. You and Tony carried the bags down to the car, and the three of you got in.
Once you were all in the car, there was an awkward silence. You finally decided to talk first.
"So how have you been, Tony?" He glanced over at you quickly before looking back at the road.
"I've been fine. You?"
"The same. James and I have been able to survive without Bucky being home. Clint was kind enough to suggest that he stay with us while Bucky was away. Things haven't been so bad." Tony nodded his head.
"Are you ok, Tony? You're acting strange. Not like the loud and enthusiastic Toby Stark that we all know and love." He flinched. He glanced over at you again.
"How can you even stand to speak to me after everything that I have done to you? I have made your life a living hell countless times, and yet you still continue to show me kindness. How?" You were slightly taken aback. You took a deep breath and spoke.
"When I was growing up, I had two older brothers. I would always try to follow them around, and they would get angry at me. Their names were Phillip and Quincy. They would always yell at me and push me, even kick at me. I started to feel angry at them because they were always being so mean to me. I decided one morning that I would start being mean back. That was a Sunday. The sermon that day at church was about the Golden Rule. Since then, I have always tried to live by that rule, and from that point on, whenever Phillip and Quincy would be mean to me, I would just be kind to them. They actually started to respect me more after that. I think that my life definitely got a lot better after I started to follow that way of life. I met Bucky the day after that sermon. I don't want to make it sound like God has a reward system, because he doesn't, but he definitely blessed me that next day by letting me meet my soulmate." Tony quietly nodded his head.
"I'd like to formally apologize to you for all that I have said or done to you and your husband. I was being selfish. You two have endured a lot these past fees months, and I acted like a total jerk. Please forgive me, and after all that has happened, I'm giving you and Barnes your floor in the tower back. I shouldn't have taken it away from you. Please think it over. You and Barnes can have as much time as you need to think it through. I miss having the little Barnes in the tower. He was pretty popular, and everyone missed him and you two when I made you leave. Please consider it." You didn't know what to say. You just dumbly nodded your head. After a few minutes had passed you noticed that Tony still looked upset.
"Tony, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here for you." He smiled and thanked you.
Tony soon pulled up in front of the S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters. He helped you carry your bags into the building and took them to a small room that he said was Steve's mission prep room. In it were pairs of boots, two extra uniforms, and other miscellaneous tools of the superhero trade. You quickly scanned the room to make sure that there was nothing that could hurt James. Everything dangerous appeared to be located inside the cabinets. You made a mental note not to let James open the cabinets.
"I told Fury that I'd bring you here when we arrived. He's currently busy with the arrival of the guys."
"They are coming back today?" Tony nodded his head.
"They should be here in at most three or four hours. I'll let you two get comfy. I have to go meet Natasha. I told Thor that you two would be in here. I assume that he'll stop by. Until then, I need the two of you to stay here. No offense, but we don't need you two to go missing." You laughed.
"It's fine, Tony. I completely understand."
"Good. I probably won't see you again until after the guys have arrived so I'll tell you now, don't worry about him. I have only heard snippets of conversation, but it seems as though he is still alive. Fury will be in in an hour or so to tell you the whole story, but apparently there was some old stone ruins in the area where they were. Some of the enemy soldiers found them, and the Captain and Barnes started to fight them to make sure that they wouldn't blow their cover. One of the soldiers knocked your husband backwards into some if the rubble, and a large stone fell from the top of the stone ruin. It knocked your husband on the head, and he has been unconscious since. I haven't heard anything about his current state, but apparently it wasn't looking so good just after it happened. Steve and Brice decided to abort the mission so they could bring him back here. I have to get going. Like I said, don't worry. He's going to be fine." You wanted to believe him, you really did, but it was so hard to. There was one thing though that you believed with your whole heart. Your husband was never going on another mission ever again.
