Josh's P.O.V
After classes Alex and I went back to our apartment. I plopped myself down on the couch and so did Alex.
"I'm exhausted." Sighed Alex.
"So am I feel like I could sleep for 3 days straight." I said while taking the remote controller and switching the t.v. on. Alex was on his phone while I was flipping through the channels.
Alex looked up from his phone and smiled at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Olivia sent me a text saying that all the grade 10's are going on a field trip to Yale. My mom asked if Olivia, Brooklyn, Madison and I think Jay can stay here?" Alex gave me his awkward face.
To be honest I don't mind Olivia and Madison coming over but not Brooklyn. Whose this Jay kid?
"Whose Jay?" I asked. Alex rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. I want an answer.
"Tell me Alex!" I raised my voice.
"Jay is....." He trailed off. Please don't say Brooklyn's boyfriend or something like that, I thought to myself. After a few seconds of silence he add "Brooklyn's boyfriend."
I tensed up and clinched my fist together. I can't picture Brooklyn with anyone except me. I hate this.
"So is it ok if they stay here for the week. My mom said that it would be cheaper than them paying for a hotel room?" Alex asked.
"Can I be honest with you Alex?"
"Sure..."
"I don't have a problem with Olivia and Madison staying here but..... I don't think I'm ready to see Brooklyn again and especially seeing her with another guy." My voice broke at the end.
"Please...just do it for me please. We have a spare room that all of them could share. I will tell Olivia to make sure that you won't even see Brooklyn." Alex begged me.
"I'll ask Adian if I can spend the week at his apartment. " I told Alex. I'm not ready to see Brooklyn.
"Ok I'll tell my mom that they can spend the week here." Alex got up and walked to his room. I sighed and let my head full backwards.
Alex sent me a text.
Alex: Ok my mom said that she'll tell them to start packing.
Me: Why didn't you come into the living room and tell me instead of wasting my data?
Alex: I'm lazy.
I never replied but then I realised that I still had to ask Adien if I could stay at his apartment.
Me: Hey Alex. Can I ask a favor?
Adian: Sure what's up?
Me: Could I spend the rest of the week at your place?
Adian: Sorry dude. You can't David and his girlfriend are staying in the spare room. Why?
Me: Its fine. Don't worry.
I got up from the couch and ran my fingers through my hair. Looks like I'm staying here. I hate my life.
I went into Alex's room and he was busy making his bed right.
"Alex I have bad news." I told him. His head shot up as he starred at me.
"What's the bad news?"
"I can't stay by Adian's apartment,but the good news is that I can help out with those kid." I joked trying to not sound so disappointed.
"Sorry dude, but you'll be ok. I promise." I went over to Alex and we did our bro hug.
