Chapter 2

        Chapter 2 - Monday

   "Come on shorty!" Axel called for me from the kitchen. I ran out with my suitcase. I missing a week of school for this, it better be good. I went over to him, and Kara was on the other side of the room. "Go say bye to your sister." He mumbled to me. You have to force either one of us to talk to each other. "Bye." I say miserably and turn around to leave.

    We left around 9am. It's a five hours drive. First we stoppped at a Dunkin Donuts and got some crap food, then continued on. Nothing important happened. We just talked and drove. "Now are you going to see this Kendal guy or not? I'd be happy to take you there. Don't take this the wrong way, but I'd rather you live with him. Onlybecause you living with Kara isn't good for you. Or her." Axel says. I agree with him though. "But you can't just take me down here and expect me to go back into his custody. It doesn't work that way. " even though I wish it did. "Tessa, if we really want this to happen - I can do it. I'm almost done with school, and I'mm secretly planning to move down here without Kara, and you , Kendall, and Kara will be my first case." he smiled at the thought of actually winning his first case. "Back to your previous question - I'm not gonna see him this time around. We'll wait until your done with school to take action." I say. "Okay." he says cautiously, like I really should see Kendall. Oh well.

    "Hey, are you out of school yet?" I ask Lily over the phone. "Yeah, why?" she asks. "I'm gonna pick you up and we're going to hang out." she had no idea about the whole trip. "What?!" she says shocked. "See you in ten." I smile and hang up.

    We got to Lily's house and she ran outside. "Hey!" she screeched and ran over to hug me. Her brother Cody came out  and I hugged him too. We're pretty tight. "Hey kid." he says, squeezing me. Axel gets out of the car. "You been taking care of her?" Cody asks. " Uh, keeping her alive - yes. Not exactly taking care of her though." he chuckles. "Come on lets do stuff." I say and we get into the car.

   "So are you gonna visit Kendall?" Lily asks, taking a sip of her Jamba Juice. Axel took us because he didn't know where else to go. I took a deep breat. "Nope." I say, and expain our little plan. "Are you sure? Keeping things from people usually turns out bad.." Lily tries to warn me. "I'm sure."

    Throughout the rest of the week I hung out with the guys. "So you don't want me to tell him you're here?" James asks, surprised. I was at his house with the two other guys. "Yeah..." I sigh. Everyone is saying this is a bad idea.

And everybody can't be wrong....
