Chapter 17

  Chapter 17 - After South America Tour

   I stayed with Kevin for the two weeks and it went fine. For the last night though, I stayed with Lily and went home Sunday.

    I walked in the door and put my key on the side table. I turned to the livingroom and “AHH! WHO ARE YOU.” I scream. I see a young looking lady on our couch with a child who looked about four. Just then, I heard running down the stairs – Kendall. “Hey T…uh..this is Michaela.”he said slowly. My eyes are just wide. “She’s my girlfriend…” he says even slower. She stands up to greet me. She’s a bit taller than me and has the same blonde hair and blue eyes as me. It’s a little weird, but I dismiss it. Her daughter, who is currently toying around with a stuffed animal, looks the same.

 “When did this happen?” I ask, still in shock that he actually has a girlfriend, with a child. “On tour….she was on vacation in Buenos Aires and uh…tadaaa!” he said weakly. I slowly nod my head. “I’m uh…gonna go unpack.” I say and go upstairs.

  “He’s had a girlfriend for over a week and hasn’t told you until you walked into your house to find her on the couch?” Lily repeated pretty much what I told her. “Yup. I gotta go shower, I’ll call you tomorrow.” I say and hang up. I got my stuff and walked into the hallway. I could hear them talking from downstairs, so I sat on the top stair and listened.

“I don’t think Tessa likes me very much..”

“It’s not that she doesn’t like you, she’s just shocked I have a girlfriend. You know it’s been a while…”

“I know. I think she screamed because of Caitlynn.”

“I screamed too.” Kendall chuckles.

At that I went into the bathroom and took my shower.

                On the way out, I ran into Kendall, I guess his girlfriend left. He instantly pulled me into a hug. But I was so confused I didn’t hug back. He pulled away. “What the heck, you’ve been icing me out all day.” He said stressed. “No I haven’t. I stayed in my room because I didn’t want to bother you.” I walk into my room. “T, you could never bother me. You know that.” He sits on my bed. “But I know something’s wrong.” He said. I finish getting my stuff together for school tomorrow. “Yeah, that you didn’t even bother to tell me ‘oh hey yeah, got a girlfriend, she’s gonna be here to scare the shit out of you when you get home btw’” I say with a mixture of anger and sarcasm. “I know, I kinda dropped the ball on that one.” He sighs. “But you know I’m sorry. You wanna forgive me?” he smiles foolishly, like a child. I playfully roll my eyes. “Now come here and give me a real hug!” he laughs.

                We lie down for a little while. “I missed you, I haven’t seen you in three weeks.” He chuckled, kissing my head. “So how was Kevin’s?” he asked. “Great. Since he lives closer to the school I got to wake up a full hour later.” I was happy about that. “Well why don’t you just go live with him then?” Kendall jokes. “So, you’re not phased at all by the fact Michaela has a child?” Kendall asks. “Not really. As long as she doesn’t force the kid on you like ‘HERE’S MY CHILD. LOVE IT.’” I start to laugh at myself, Kendall does too. “Okay, whatever you say. Go to bed, love ya.” He gets up and closes the door behind him.
