Chapter 27
"What is it? Because I'm really not in the mood for bullshit." I say. Jackson leads me away to the nearest bench. "You may not be happy about what I have to say..." he starts. I brace myself for the fuckery that's coming up. "Okay, so... I heard you started dating Adam, and I still care about you, so I had someone run a little background check on him and - "YOU WHAT?!" I yell. He ran a BACKGROUND CHECK on my boyfriend?! "Wait! Before you get angry just - "I'M ALREADY ANGRY." I state. "He's been kicked out of his last three schools for violence I just want you to be careful!" Jackson yells. "You just want to ruin my relationship because I've moved on from your sorry ass!" I get up and walk away with Cody and Lily.
We went back home about an hour later, only James, Peta and Dustin were still there. They all looked...worried. "What's wrong?" I ask and sit down at the patio table. "Tessa, he got kicked out of three schools. The most recent was for pushing a girl up against the locker because she didn't wanna go out with him." Kendall said, looking at his phone.
"Ugh, not you too.." I put my head in my hands. "We just don't want you getting hurt, I don't trust him, I never did." Dustin chimes in. "He's never done anything so just shut up about it!" I yell and stand up. "He also punched a girl when she slapped him after he grabbed her ass! Don't you see a trend here Tessa?!" James yells, waving Kendall's phone around with the reports on it. "He's changed! He's hasn't hurt me!" I defend him.
"Not yet..." Kendall mumbles. I left the table and locked myself in my room, I just can't take that! They're just trying to break us up because they liked Jackson better because they went on tour with him.
"Tessie, open the door!" Kendall kept banging on my door. He trusted me with the lock on the door even though he lost the key. So you can't unlock it from the outside. I finally got up and unlocked the door.
"Tessa you need to understand I just wanna protect you." Kendall said calmly. "Well you don't need to. He's fine." I say. Kendall sighs and sits on my bed. "Yes I do need to. I'm trying to get you to understand my position here. If anything happened that I could've prevented, I would feel horrible. Do you get it?" he asks.
"Yeah..." I say and sit next to him. "Good." He pulls me over and squeezes me. "But I really don't want you to go to that football game with him on Friday." Kendall continues. "Fine. I won't go." I sigh. "Thank you Tessie." He says sweetly.
If only I actually meant what I said.
