As soon as those words flowed so easily from Normani's mouth the Latina felt a wave of emotions. This time all good emotions. She heard Normani's words clearly, she wanted to try this.

But for some reason she just had to confirm. Her brows raised "You want to try this? ..with me?"

Normani chuckled "Yes Lauren, who else would I be talking about?" She teased.

Lauren shrugged and responded with a smug voice "Well, I don't know maybe Trevor".

This time Normani raised her brows "You're right let me head back downstairs then, he might still be waiting" she said pointing her thumb towards the door and smirking.

"STOP. You better not!" Lauren spoke grabbing her arms and pulling her close, causing them both to laugh.

After the laugh died down Normani still felt herself tight in the grip of Lauren. "Okay I'm not going, you can let go now" she spoke out basically grasping for air.

Lauren let go of the grip slightly. But that's all she could do. Having Normani in her arms felt so right, it felt so good that it hurt. This woman, her bestfriend meant everything to her. Now she's going to have the opportunities to show her just how much she meant, since she was willing to try this.

She sighed a little "I'm sorry Mani. I just never want to let you go" she said smiling.

These words tugged at the brown girls heart. "Well hopefully you'll never have to" she smiled and sat up a little. "No matter what happens down this journey we're about to go through just know you'll always be my baby. I'm never letting you leave me so.."

"Trust me I don't plan on it" she said still smiling. "And mani listen I know your concerns. We can take this as slow as we need. No pressure, let's let it flow"

The brown girl gave an endearing smile and ran her hand softly across Laurens cheek. "Okay Lo"

Because of the soothing contact of Normani's soft warm hands against her face the Latinas breathing slowed down and her blinks got longer and more dragged out. "So.. How about that kiss now?" She questioned softly with a nervous half smile.

Normani smiled and slowly leaned in. Connecting her lips to Laurens cheek and slightly on the side of her mouth. "Slow.." She murmured grabbing Laurens face and kissing the same spot softly one more time.

The Latina nodded and slowly opened her eyes back up. It took everything in her not to turn her head and attack Normani's lips. Just like it took everything in Normani not to do the same. But for now this was enough for the both of them. This was the 'We're going to do this' kiss and the little bit of contact meant the world to both of them.

"Now.. Let's go back to the party" Normani said.

"Wait!" Lauren said & now she was the one doing the face grabbing. She leaned in and kissed the same spot that Normani had kissed on her face before pressing their foreheads together "I swear I don't want to go back right now"

The warmth of Lauren breath on her lips as she spoke caused Normani to bite her own. Lauren smiled at the affect she had on the brown girl. "If this wasn't our party believe we wouldn't be going back down there" Normani said and they both chuckled.

Lauren sat up "wait why is it so quiet anyway?"

"Come on"

They both went down the steps to see a empty house and Dinah passed out on the couch. One arm and one leg hanging off and mouth wide open.
