As Andrew watched the two teenagers screaming at what they just witnessed, Andrew beamed. Since Kiara had just got her second marking only meant she was ready to breed and become the mate of his king, Thorn. He already had a plan on what to do with her. If only she knew that having lunch with him, gave him a better chance to capture her. But the symbols of the lion also were told that her true mate was near, but Andrew never knew.

It seemed like hours until Kiara and Ryan began to settle down, Kiara was still scared.

"What the fuck just happened!? she screamed at Ryan finally.

"How am I supposed to know?! It's not my body that it happened to!" he replied. He had taken this quite well, compared to Kiara. She nodded in approval. He had a point, thought Kiara.

"I'm sorry, I-I'm just freaked out... that's all" Kiara apologized calmly.

"Hey, look at me," Ryan said, she looked up into his eyes. "I'm just as freaked as you, I'm freaking out and screaming still on the inside, okay? You aren't the only one." he finished with some faint panic in his voice.

She signed. " I should get going. It's starting to get late and Julie might be home anytime by now. I'll see if I can catch you later, then I might go for a swim." Then she giggled and winked at him. Then she ran off. Ryan never wanted her to leave for two reasons; he was still freaked at that little scene, and he never wanted to stop looking at her.

Leo was exhausted. After his mark came on his hip, he asked one of the elders on the plane what it meant. They said it was a mark showing he was now close to his source of power, and that he was ready to shift into a complete adult lion and breed. He was excited but yet nervous.

If he didn't get to his mate first, his clan would go down the drain. He needed this girl, and not just to gain the throne. He wanted her and him to start a family and live a happy life. He hoped and dreamed of her every night.

He got closer and closer to his mate by the hour. He was supposed to land in at least an hour or so. He decided to use this time as a napping time.

Kiara locked herself in the house and waited for Julie to come home. She went her bedroom and changed in to a dry t-shirt and shorts, then she went down stairs into the living room and found herself a book.

The time flew as she read. She was practically done the book when her step-mother came home.

"Kiara?" Julie called

"Living room." Kiara said in a small voice, but was loud enough for Julie to hear. As Julie entered the room, she smiled. A real smile. The one thing they had in common was reading. The only thing. Kiara covered the book with her legs. She was in no mood to talk.

"Which book?" asked Julie, who was trying to start a conversation with curiosity.

"To Kill A Mockingbird." replied Kiara. She didn't like talking with the person who abused her so many times.

"Which part?"

"The part where Tom Robinson dies." replied Kiara. She didn't really want to talk, but she had to be on her best behavior in order to sleep well with a stomach filled with food tonight.

Right as Julie was about to say something there was a knock on the door. When Julie opened the door, a young male with very dark brown eyes, someone who would often be mistaken for having black eyes, smiled down at Julie. He was quite a handsome man in Julie eyes.

"Does a girl live here by the name Kiara?" he asked. Julie was taken back. He wanted Kiara? Why, Julie thought, but she called Kiara anyway in a sweet voice.

Kiara was not willing to get up. She like the soft green-chair she sat in. But when her step-mom called her again, she got up with a growl. She was enjoying her book.

When Kiara turned the corner, she froze. There standing in her front door frame was a man. But she saw this man already today. How had he found her? Did he stalk her home? But her thoughts were interrupted by his low velvet voice,

"Hey Kiara, you forgot your sweater." said Andrew.
