Chapter 16: Curiousity

Kiara screamed, the pain shot through her everywhere, it was just like before. She could feel her jaw flatten out into her human jaw, along with the rest of her body.

At first Leo didn't know what to do with the girl, or lioness. As he thought of suggestions, his mind came across one. As soon as he picked her up, he broke out into a run, but stopped when he saw her shifting within his arms.

Leo didn't get very far with her but he was now closer to his men. They would be able to help.

When she screamed again, and snarled,growled out in pain, it sadden Leo knowing he couldn't do anything to help her besides watch her go through the pain. His lion whinnied at the discomfort. Leo's lion had never acted like this. It never interrupted his human life. He put his face into frown of confusion.

Kiara felt every change her body was making. Whenever she would scream loudly a hand always gripped hers tightly and a soothing voice always reassured her that "Everything was alright" . one time she tried to smile, but it quickly vanished as it a came. She heard a chuckle then a soft warm hand felt her face. She purred with happiness, but the feeling was soon lost with the pain.

Ryan fought with his capturer. But the man seemed to put up a good fight and seemed way stronger.

Cecil knew he had an advantage against the weakling boy. The boy was nothing compared to him. Cecil was proud that he made the boys features full of fear.

"Shhh shhh ..." Cecil taunted the boy who was screaming. The boy wouldn't shut up.

"Shut up!" Cecil screamed. This time the boy listened. "Good. Now, answer me. Have you seen a girl around here in this field. Answer truthfully. I can tell if you're lying."

Ryan took his words. He shook and replied with a quiet "No."

He heard the man sign in frustration. Ryan hoped this man knew he was telling the truth.

Cecil knew the boy was telling the truth, he just didn't want to believe his senses.

"My name is Dr. Cecil Patricks, and there is a girl out here who has escaped from a asylum. Are you sure you didn't see or meet anyone or anything out here?" Cecil lied as he tried to push the boy further on what he was running from.

Ryan stared at the doctor. Should I tell him I saw a lioness? He thought curiously.

"No. I haven't seem anyone or anything. I'm sorry Dr. Patricks." Ryan lied.

"Hmph. Well--what's your name boy?" Cecil asked

"Ryan sir, why do you ask?" Ryan asked while curiosity took over.

"Well, Ryan, you remember how I said I could tell if someone was lying to me?"

"Yes sir," Ryan stated not liking where this was going.

"Well, it seems you didn't take my words seriously. What did you see?!" he demanded at Ryan, who flinched from the switch of tone in Cecil's voice.

Since Ryan didn't reply instantly, Cecil grew impatient. He grabbed Ryan by the throat and slammed on the ground with inhuman strength.

Ryan wasn't able to catch his breath from the sudden angered Doctor. What was with this guy? He thought confused.

"Who was the person you saw!?" Cecil yelled.

"I ....didn't ....see anyone!" Ryan spat with his last breaths. Ryan's face started to turn a bright red to a dark purpley bluey colour. Cecil wanted to finish this guy. He started to let his animal loose. But his animal didn't do what Cecil expected.

When his hyena took over it rushed its canines to Ryan's neck and bit him.

The night was filled with screams. And that's when Tobias had had enough.

He gathered some of Leo's men and they rushed to find out what was taking so long with his King.
