"Ok Kiara, you got this." She said as she walked out to the halls. Quickly walking --- not wanting to be seen--- she made her way through the palace as Cecil had told her follow all the directions she told him.

When she was halfway to her exit she swore she heard a scream, but Cecil had told her no matter what she hears, she has to leave.

As Kiara rounded a corner she partially ran into guards. Quickly coming back, she noticed she knew she couldn't go any other way but this way unfortunately. She could feel her heart racing as it beat against her chest.

"Wait."

Kiara knew that voice so easily that it scared her to hear it. She looked over the corner, but suddenly she wished she never did.

"Stay still!"

The voice boomed in her head. She gasped at how angry he sounded.

"Leo ..." Kiara whispered out in shock that she still heard his voice. She was going crazy and she knew it.

"Stay still." He repeated without giving her further instructions.

"Nows not the time Leo, I have to ---" her whisper was broken off when she heard a blood curling scream coming from behind her. Kiara instantly fell silent and listen, unsure wether to turn around or to stay still.

"Shut up, you filthy whore!" one of the guards shouted. Kiara could feel her blood rise with anger at how the guard treated the person.

There were little whimpers until the other guard spoke.

"Wait until your rightful King hears about this!" After that Kiara heard metal collide with bone as a crack echoed the halls.

"You must stay, Kiara. There's no use in saving them."

Questions, thoughts, wonders, fears were all running though Kiara's head as cries of pain lingered in the hall. She knew she had to do something but she couldn't figure out what.

"She will find you, and she will kill you!" a girls voice said in anger and pain. Kiara started to feel sudden guilt as she knew who's voice it belonged too.

"Mikayla." She gasped.

"Kiara! Listen to me!" Leo ordered.

"It's Mikyala." was she was able to say.

"You have to stay here! If you step out, they will only do what they're doing to Mikayla to you, or worse. Remember that it was her choice to do this for you. Remember that you can't always save everyone's life. " He said trying to persuade Kiara.

"Well she's one of the life's I am going to save." Kiara said as she leapt off the wall, away from her spot. She could feel Leo's rage, but she knew she was doing the right thing.

Suddenly, she could feel a connection with her lion like she never felt before, it was odd how it was happening now though. It felt as though her lion loved this sort of rebellion, and doing things her way.

As a purr escaped Kiara's mouth, the guards suddenly turned to their new target.

"Well, well, there's nothing for you to see here my lady, we were just showing this ..." the guard turned back to the bursed, bloody body on the floor "We were just teaching her a lesson. " He finished of with a gross slimy smile.

"What did you do to her?" It was the first question that came to Kiara's thoughts. She could feel her voice shake as her eyes met with guards.

"We did what must've been done. She is a LION! Part of that filth and to think they call themselves rightful to the throne?!" the other guard shouted with pure disgust.

"You have no right to do this to her!" Kiara said inhuman. She could feel something starting to take over along with her blood rise with anger.

"My lady she's a traitor. She's lucky we didn't do worse!" The same guard shouted as the other one had Mikayla's bloody face in his hands.

"Kiara, ... there's --- " Mikyala started before the guard holding her shook her until she became quiet. In horror, Kiara watched it happen before her eyes. Watched what these guards would do to the rest of Leo's clan along with Yana's.

"STOP IT!" Kiara roared cause both guards to turn and look at Kiara in utter shock.

"But, my lad---" a guard started but was glared at. Kiara could feel power, strength, dominance run through her voice as she told the guards to flee and leave Mikyala. It was strange why Kiara had felt these weird connections with her lioness, but she decided now wasn't the time to ask.

As she knelt before the bruised, bloody girl, her heart pounded with pain.

"Mikyala ..." was all Kiara could say. She knew what Mikyala was doing and what she had to do in order for Kiara to be out freely, but this was to far.

"Go... urg, I'll only ... slow you down." Mikyala shoved Kiara away with the rest of her strength she had left.

"Mikyala, I can't ---"

"Go! Ah ... " Mikyala paused as more pain filled her lower left side, " I'm not having you lose your chance. Go! Now!"

"Why are you bleeding so much?" Kiara asked stalling time.

"Kiara, this isn't the time for this ---"

"I'm not leaving you to die! We came here together, now we are leaving here together! Get up!" Kiara tried to persuade Mikyala, but it was no use.

"No. I'm not having you die for me." And with that Mikyala pushed Kiara away, cuz Kiara to trip. When Kiara looked up, she met eyes with Mikyala and knew she was right. She couldn't stay there with her, the whole kingdom depended on her and unfortunately Leo was right. She couldn't save everyone's life.

As Kiara turned the corner she quickly made it to her exit. Quickly, blowing the door down, she could feel the cool night breeze brush her skin and send shivers down her spine. But as soon as she took a step, something became unsettling.

When she turned around all she could see was darkness of the hallway she had just come from.

"Going somewhere?" a familiar voice spoke. As the person stepped forward, Kiara could instantly tell it was a male, and by his form obviously worked out.

Thorn?

No. Can't be.

The males scent was unrecognizable. It was something Kiara could only picture home smelling like but with darkness lingering around.

"Who's there?" Kiara asked suddenly terrified as the male stepped from the shadows.

It wasn't who she was scared it was what was with this person. His face was darkened as if he had gotten away with murder and lived to tell the tale. His posture meant only he was here to kill.

But the thing that scared her the most was that Ryan never looked like he did now in front of her.

"Ryan." He replied.
