Miranda's pov

I'm really happy how everything turned out. Mason's not a problem anymore at all. He's also dating my best friend. We were actually getting ready to go on a double date with them. Jason walks in, dressed in his Sunday best. We were going to a fancy resturaunt. I smile and put my earrings in. "Ya know I think Mason hooking up with Rachel is the best thing that ever happened to that guy. I am really glad we had a turning around!" "Me too, Jason. You're so much happier without having to worry." He smiles and sits on the bed. "I'm just.... I always was scared he'd mess with the wrong person and get killed but now..... I don't have to worry. And with Rachel he doesn't even need the pills. She's a distraction enough." I laugh. "What do you mean by that?" He shrugs. "He texted me that." He stands up and zips my dress up for me. "Ready for date night?" I ask. He smiles and kisses me. "Now I am."

Jason's pov

Halfway through dinner while the band thankfully played country music Mason tapped my foot and looked to the door. "What?" I ask. "Turn around and look." He says. I do and am shocked to see Tully stumble in drunk. The ticket guy telling him he can't come in. Of course he doesn't listen. "Crap! What's he doing here?" I gasp, hiding my face with my hand. "I am going to kick that guy's butt!" Mason gasps, standing up. "No wait!" I say, grabbing his arm. "Don't pick a fight with Tully. He doesn't fight fair." "Pathetic." He mutters. "Well we can both take him down." "I'm not fighting my bassist. That guy's my best friend!" I say, standing up. "Rachel, I gotta talk to you." Tully cries. She hides her head with her hat, embarrassed. I sigh annoyed. "Come on man, I need you." I look at Tully then my brother then my wife. She looks just as embarrassed as Rachel. Me I don't really get embarrassed at things like this. But the girls are. "Mason, let's go defend our girls' honor." He smiles. "That's the spirit!" We walk over to Tully. "If you don't leave peacefully-" "We'll take it from here sir." I grab Tully's shoulder. "Rachel! Please take me back! I'm so sorry!" "No! Leave me alone!" Rachel cries. I pull him out of the resturaunt. Mason is beyond pissed. He'd probably kill him, given the chance. "Tully ya gotta face facts. Rachel ain't comin' back to ya." He says, furious. I hold him back as he starts to walk over. I have to stand in between the two. "Tully go home!" I gasp. "Not without my Rachel!" "Too bad fool! She is in love with me! She said I was her soulmate and I agree wholeheartedly!" Mason shouts back, rage on his face. "Calm down, Mason, you start getting pissy, we're gonna have an all out war on our hands!" His hands are shaking with rage. "Mason, cool it!" I shout. "Screw you!" He yells shoving me out of the way and running at Tully! Uh oh! The girls run out as I sit up. "You okay?" I sigh and nod. "What's gonna happen?" Rachel whimpers, terrified. I don't even have a clue. "Even drunk Tully can kick ass. He's as tough as Brantley." Rachel looks even more scared. They were punching at each other then Tully punched him in the back of the head. He stumbled forward then turned around and ran at him where he proceeded to use the cheap shot, making Mason go down! I warned him. "Rachel, run!" I gasp, standing up. Both girls run to my truck and lock the doors. "Rachel!!" He screams. Poor Mason can't even move. "Oh man that guy sucks." He mutters in the fetal position. I sigh and help him up to a sitting position. "I warned ya bro." I walk to my truck and get a tranq gun I have. "Get away from him, Tully!" "No! He stole Rachel from me!" "That was your fault! You shouldn't have cheated on her and she wouldn't have even thought of Mason." "Hey I'm right here!" Mason gripes. I roll my eyes and shoot Tully with the tranq gun. Rachel and Miranda run out after Tully goes down. She hugs him tight. "Oh Mason, that was so brave." He hugs her too and she helps him stand back up. I smile and hold Miranda's hand. She kisses my cheek. "I love you cowboy." She says, resting my hat on my head. "I love you too princess. Thank God you missed that concert." I say dropping the gun and sweeping her off her feet, placing a soft kiss on her lips.
