Emma stayed at the hospital till 1am on the Thursday morning. She found her mother had a risk of being brain damaged and further full body scans had shown internal bleeding after she complained of her stomach hurting.

The doctors had discussed putting Susan in a medically induced coma to help her heal but as Emma looked through her mother's window she told the doctors she felt something was wrong and her mother wasn't the kind to sleep when she was in pain and as she was yet to be administered morphine the doctors immediately checked Susan as the family knows best only to find she had slipped into a coma.

They told Emma and she felt sad yet happy that her mother could heal, she didn't have to have to make a choice her mother should have had but she had the risk of not waking up and this scared Emma a lot. She could lose her mother.

She climbed up the stairs numb. Falling on the bed she broke down the tears couldn't stop and Emma didn't even try to stop them. She was grieving and trying to not think of losing her mother. She soon fell into a fitful sleep.

"Mama I'm on the third step...." sang a voice. Emma woke knowing it could be the potdoll even though it was impossible and she soon regretted not taking it off the third step. "Mama I'm on the fourth step." It sang again. Emma hoped it wouldn't move again but her hopes were dashed as it sung out again "mama I'm on the fifth step."

Emma knew it would stop now but she was scared, so scared of the doll she fought to sleep and never wanted to touch the doll ever again.
